Wellll! Medicals have been rec'd now! Hopefully that means they can approve hubby and have him landed by Nov (as that's when his medicals AND visitor's visa expires). Come on CIC! :)

finally some progress from cic for marchers

my husband had talk with cic agent few minutes before and she said our file is still in Ottawa.. and will be processed and closed in Ottawa..
Ottawa will just send a letter to LA for issuing ppr.

I dont know how many months (cant say days now) I have to wait for ppr

OMG
i just hate this waiting period and this immigration process..
being a law abiding citizen... waiting is the fruit we are being given to each other from cic >:( :(

Just got an email asking for a police certificate. I have 60 days to send it in. I sent some fingerprints to the FBI on September 24th. Does anyone know the recent turnaround for fingerprints?

On the plus side, they said they don't need an interview! :D

This was my hubby's timeline:

Prints taken and mailed from Nevada - July 27
Prints received by FBI - July 30
Credit card charged - Aug 24
Search completed - Aug 27
Clearance letter sent - Aug 29
Received - Sept 7

That 60 days isn't a hard deadline, but it seems to be taking ~6 weeks in most cases right now.

hi parker24 - does that mean that your medicals which you submitted in Nov 2011 just now are showing up on the system? I'm checking eCas everyday but still nothing on my hubby's medical results...they asked us to redo the medicals but the system never registered the original medicals we submitted back in Feb...

It means that they requested the medicals from Ottawa and rec'd them today. Pretty sure they requested them the day they started processing my file, August 10th. But yes, it's just now showing up. I'm hoping we don't have to re-do it, I'm not made of money like our government seems to think we are!! ::) Ours was 200 dollars *sigh* (the medical)

It isn't? I figured that at 50 days, I'd just have my husband call and tell them we need an extension. When I sent them to the FBI on the 24th, I put my husband's house in Canada down as the address to mail it to, so I figure that will add an extra 2 weeks, and put us right at the 60 day deadline.

Do they want the state police certificate or the FBI certificate? Also to comment on medicals received...my husband did his in december 2011 and we sent it in to with our complete file..medicals received has been showing on ECAS since the sponsorship approval.
