Just curious how do you know if your application is sent to LA from CPP-O? Is it because you are notified by LA office that they take over your case after stage 1 approval? I thought from the second half of last year, all the cases would be handled by CPP-O for the second stage.
No, Ottawa will send it to other offices (There is only LA and I think NY left) if there is a backlog or something. We're not really sure how they send them there. When you get sponsorship approval, it will tell you it's going to LA. Sometimes it will go to Ottawa first, then they will tell you it is going to LA and to forward any questions to them.xbwa said:

I'm now back in the US (NYC) after a work visa of 1 year+. Now, just waiting. We called a few weeks ago (well, my partner did from inland: NL) and we were told: "Everything is in its right place"...or something along the lines of that...I've got Radiohead stuck in my brain since then...
Not sure how long it'll take, since Buffalo apps were transferred there and/or NYC. It's a waiting game. At least reading the forum posts has kept me at ease. And the sporadic calls to the CI call centre.

Today, I received the Passport Request from the visa office. Funnily, the request was sent from Ottawa, even though my application was sent to LA - but who's complaining?! Just glad my file is moving along.
