Thanks for the suggestion, Canuck! I am not able to change my vacation time. If I cannot think of a way in the next few weeks, I might change my plan, and start to plan something in the US or a cruise to Carribean. But going to Alaska in summer may be the best cruise option :(

For someone like me from a visa non-exempt country (I am working in the US), if everything goes smoothly, I would expect one of Canadian visa offices in US would eventually request my passport to stamp the immigration visa, just like I sending my passport to apply for a TRV visa before.
