Some recent development on my case.
After 1 year, I decided to send a UK PCC to LVO. I sent them a scanned copy and the following morning to my amazement, they sent me an email with my file number asking me to send the originals. First time I will be seeing the file number by the way.
So I sent the policr reports on Friday and on Tuesday, they contacted me for the first time since Feb 2015 asking for my PCC from Nigeria, updated Schedule A forms and travel history plus a copy of my new passport.
Bottom line is I think the PCC triggered the activity on my case or is it just coincidence?

Believe it or not, but some lazy "Program Assistant" has forgotten your case completely and all the due date for your application has already been slipped by this lazy Program Assistant.

This is what I am advising to everyone that sometimes Program Assistants completely forget your file. Actually everyone should understand that Program Assistants are depending on the "Reminder Generated by Computer Software GCMS" and this reminder is maybe like a pop up on screen on "Due Date" assigned for your case. So, if the "Program Assistant" ignore this reminder generated by Software and also did not put any new Due Date, then your file will be like "Buried in the Graveyard of archived files of your Visa Office" and "will remain there until and unless you take some action like CSE or GCMS notes ordering".

In your case I am strongly of the opinion this is what has happened, but when you sent him email, so your Program Assistant immediately opened GCMS notes of your file, and discovered "OH MY GOD" I forgot to take action on Due Date (it might be e.g. 15-Sep 2015). So, of course he will not tell you this mistake committed by him. He simply took the action and sent you email and started to work on your file.

You are not alone. Several other applicants who sent email or raised CSE or asked GCMS notes, got immediate news of further steps in their application, as if Visa Office was waiting for their email !!! Of course Program Assistant forgot his application and did negligence and did not take further action on Due Date.

Otherwise those applicants who simply kept waiting without taking any action on their part, later on some of them heard the bad news that their "Their Application got rejected because Visa Office asked them by email certain document on certain date within 30 days and it was not received therefore application is rejected". And those poor applicants never received that "SO CALLED" email claimed by Visa Office. After that they went to court and fight a long case to get the decision reversed.

So, to avoid this panic situation it is always better to follow up your case on regular basis via CSE every 30-40 days and via GCMS notes every 3-4 months.

Today ECAS changed from In process to Decesion made.
My timelines on left. My VO is RIH.

I have a confusion. Since the start of my application only one mailing address was showing in my ECAS.Last month after my interview I had two addresses one mailing (PO Box ) and one residential updated in ECAS by CIC. Now again after Tuesday update of ECAS it's only one address again, same old mailing address.

Why they added residential and now y they removed?
No other updates

I always had two different address in my ecas as home address and mailing address. recently I requested CIC to update the change in my mailing address which is now same as my home address. VO replied me last week with the acknowledgement of updates receipt and yesterday evening I saw only one address in my ecas which is my home address...... few people might have difference of opinion but let me say this, people at LVO or CIC are not that much professional as I used to think of them.... the way they have now updated ,y home address is not exactly I emailed the. Luckily it does not make any difference but it shows how CIC or LVO works....

Yes sometimes upfront things do bring positive impact to the application. It is highly possible that your Program Assistant has put a date to ask you for those updates and this date might be ahead and your PCC made him see your file again.

If everything goes fine depending on your Schedule A Form, expect a MR within 2 weeks. All the best.

Hi anjalidave,

No, my medical was upload on 20th September and i got PPR request on 20th October. Exactly 1 month. I get my passport back from embassy in 10 days .

It is kind of miracle only that you received PPR in three days of submitting medical, wishing you all the success for your landing and settlement.

Guys I have a some quick questions:

1. I have just been asked to update Schedule A forms for myself and my partner and I discovered 2 mistakes in the original one. First is at education where I put 14 years in Part 7 (Education) for post secondary school when it should be blank and the second one is that I did not complete the personal history section as she was not working (another silly mistake). Question is, should I add a note explaining the amendments and update or should I just make the corrections without saying anything?

2. I was asked to provided PCC for the UK but I already sent them the original copies before they officially requested these docs. ( I don't assume I will be expected to produce new copies would I? ) Would an email to them explaining this and also a screen-shot of the royal mail tracking confirmation suffice?

There is little change in response to my CSE...previously VO mention that file is in queue to be reviewed by Immigration Officer but today got reply...Application is undergoing background checks...

Although not a big change but still some change
