Note to Ketevan's case: On 30/07/12 passport request was issued by regular mail. On 08/08/12 an e-mail was received advising to ignore this PPR and wait for a new one, because additional background checks are needed that will take AT LEAST 1 month

This email is in regards to your application for permanent residence in Canada. Your application has reached the final stage of processing. Please review the attached document and submit all remaining documents, including passports, within 45 days.

I got the letter today for medical examination. there are two forms for medical examination for me and my wife. ALso, They asked me to send some other form like new shedule A. additional family information, IMM0008, etc. Moreover, I was asked to pay the fees of permanent resident permit. should I pay only this (490 for me 490 for my wife) not processing fees which I already paid while I made application.
My main concern is my wife is pregnent and due date is fist week of novemver 2012. In this case, shold she need to go chest x ray?

1- No need of Processing Fee.
2-When you go to the medical they will question your wife about pregnancy and they will ask her to do some additional test which they will send to Visa Office. it will delay your process for 4 to 5 Months and you will receive the baby's medical and passport's copy request and Permanent Resident Fee about 150 CAD for the baby.

There were some changes in these forms after 21st May 2012, so you have to fill again. Remember these forms are called "Electronic forms", so you have to validate them before printing.
if you tell me your Visa Category then i can send you the link of your forms and the method that how to fill them.

hello! i'm a newbie and I just want to ask something. We got our medical request forms with additional docs last week. We were supposed to book an appointment for the medicals but my cousin who lives in canada suggested that maybe it is better to do a premedical check up first before going for the medicals itself just to make sure that everything is good and well and healthy. is this advisable? we will be going to a hospital who does all the urinalysis and blood work but not on the clinic authorized by the cic.

Well its better to do so bcoz you will come to know if anything found serious in your medical.
and if you think nothing serious was happen in last couple of years then you directly go to your DMP for MR.

share your time line about your application so Mr. Rfarooqi will add you in the list.
