Ok here is a question,

I am nominated for AINP however there maybe question about my years of experience in my field " food counter attendant" They have asked for more proof.
Time is running out for me.

My employer has filed for a LMIA however my work permit is ending in middle October 2014 and it dosnt look good that LMIA will come befor I must go home.

I have another choice of applying for a visitor visa my boyfriend will offer a invitation letter stating he will support me during my stay as we explore our relationship. He lives in BC I am in ALberta.

The question is. Will applying for a visitor visa hurt my chances of getting an LMIA and or my AINP if the visitor Visa invitation would be in BC.

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to process LMIA for food counter attendant in Alberta.

I am stuck for options.

No, a visitor record will affect neither of those. As for the LMIA timeline, it's not standard. It used to be an average of 8-12 weeks, apparently some people have received it recently in roughly a month.

Out of interest, what proof had you already provided to AINp about your work experience and what more do they require?

I had 2 years food counter and 1 year restaurant but in another country that wasnt specific to restaurant only it was a mix of general labour but also providing meals
