hi there i tried calling CIC just now. i press 1 for PR application said "we received your application Nov 3 2010" thats all. but when i tried press 7 for worker said " we received your application Nov 3 2010 and your application for work permit has been approved and the documents was issued dec 3nd 2011. i dont know maybe its a mistake or automatic answer.

121 said the date they recieved my application, followed by.. we are currently assessing your application. We anticipate been abled to provide you a response by February 24, 2011. The date here was the same date on an update in my ecas:

On the worker it says my application from last year renewal of work permit which was july 2010 and on PR says they received my application on dec 6 2010 and no change. So I guess it wasn't mistake, system error etc. im happy for you guys who got their owp's. Congrats!!!! More to come plsss.

btw as i went to the infomation session with the CIC officer early this affternoon
he said that we as holder of valid workpermit could go to the US boarder (platteburgh) for a day or 2 wothout a visa. im not sure about that but is that true.
and for the record. the cic have a direct access to the police background check. so those those submitting PR they dont need to get PCC in Canada.
