hi there i tried calling CIC just now. i press 1 for PR application said "we received your application Nov 3 2010" thats all. but when i tried press 7 for worker said " we received your application Nov 3 2010 and your application for work permit has been approved and the documents was issued dec 3nd 2011. i dont know maybe its a mistake or automatic answer.

I tried both for pr (1) and worker(7). On the worker it says my application from last year renewal of work permit which was july 2010 and on PR says they received my application on dec 6 2010 and no change. So I guess it wasn't mistake, system error etc. im happy for you guys who got their owp's. Congrats!!!! More to come plsss.wsongco said:

btw as i went to the infomation session with the CIC officer early this affternoon
he said that we as holder of valid workpermit could go to the US boarder (platteburgh) for a day or 2 wothout a visa. im not sure about that but is that true.
and for the record. the cic have a direct access to the police background check. so those those submitting PR they dont need to get PCC in Canada.
