I don't think you will need a new OWP for renewing your licence. I got mine 5 years in BC (class 5- but I already surrendered since Ontario issued me one) and 5 years in Ontario (class G) and my WP is only valid until April 30, 2012.

@lyne our time will soon come. If its true that they are issuing OWP and PR for single applicants up to june 2010 then for sure ours is not far behind because they cannot keep it away from us for a long time if you still have some patience just bear with it hopefully they have better plans for us

hi guys,my friend woke me up for a call this morning and ohhh my Gosh!she told me she got her OWP today together with letter for PR interview on 29th of sept thats on next week.
she's single applicant here at Ontario. cic received her application on June 03,2010 and she couldnt expect she got it early as what as processing time says 16-17months.

I am starting to apply for EI these days. It seems nothing we can do except waiting. But we know finally we will get the OWP. All of us !

What else we can do? Is to wait ... We dont know when? Cic should realize that we need also our owp so that we can work.. 1st stage is not based on with dependants assessment, then why cic is making hard with those who had dependants??? They shld explain why until now they didnt yet release owp?? We dont have idea why they doing this to us...
Single applicants was so lucky bec its easier for the IO to have decission on their papers.

Patience is my virtue, but seeing the situation is not healthy anymore... I coudnt understant why the single applicants applications are like a rocket, but how about the couples if you're both here and have only one minor dependant back home, i understand, if you're single they doesnt need to do more backgrpund checking which is suppsed to be on 2nd stage of approval, if CIC will explain to us clearly, we wont be bashing nor cursing them, my very ill mother needs my financial support and i coudnt do anything, just wait for WHEN!!! pissed off!!!

Your Owp should be in the mail soon or you should call them but check your Ecas first. I believe they are done with May single applicants .
