Let's share timeline, PGWP March applicant

Hi Guys,
My MP just called me says that my pgwp has been approved last Friday, but it still shows Submitted and open on my CIC account. Is it normal?

Here is my time line
Applied: April 15th
Blank Update: July 21st, Oct 03
Request for $100: Sept 14th
PGWP Approval: MP says On Oct 2nd, but still no update on my cic account

I am in the same situation as you and my case is even more wired.

I applied on April 28th together with my husband's OWP, paid 100CAD on August 14th. Then my husband received his OWP the following week. On his OWP, it says "accompany spouse with work permit valid to the same date". However, until today (Oct. 7th), I still have not received mine yet. I called CIC three times, the agents said they checked my status and my PGWP is approved but they had no idea why it is not printed and mailed yet. The agents said they sent email to CIC to inform them the situation. But the details in myCIC account is still SUBMITTED and file is still OPEN.

Please update me if you have any progress.

Here is my timeline:

Applied: April 18th (together with my husband's OWP)
Request for 100 CAD: August 14th (paid and uploaded the receipt on the same day)
Approval: August 19th (my husband's OWP), PGWP approval informed by call center agent but still no update in myCIC account (as of Oct. 7th)
Mailed: August 21st (my husband's OWP), still waiting for my PGWP as of Oct. 7th (over FIVE months already)

Hello, I also have the same situation.
I applied on may 7th, and called CIC on September 18th to check the status of application.
The agent informed me that my application has approved two weeks ago, so she sent the email to the processing team
to look it over, the next day they replied to her email as they will review my application.
It has been over five weeks and they have taken NO actions.
Now I have to wait another 3 months to take a further action.
I was planning to go back to home country on november for my brother's wedding, but now I have to give up due to stupid processing.
Their policy is so stupid...

While I'm glad I'm not in this alone, I'm also very sad that there are others who are subjected to this horrible experience and treatment.

Lucky for you if you have a SIN and get paid work... but if you're like me, who don't have a SIN, then you may be as confused as me about how CIC expects us to survive without income or social benefits. I personally think it is unprofessional and inconsiderate to ask someone to keep waiting without being given any ETA (being told to wait 3 months, after waiting for over 5 months, is just not acceptable)

I am in the same boat as you are, no SIN. I just keep hoping today is the day it will come, but oh well, what else can we do apart from waiting.

I really hope our PGWP comes soon... Atleast you guys are in canada unlike me who has returned back to india and i have no idea how n when i will go back...

Blank update means you got an email from CIC said there was an update for your application, but you cannot find any new message on your CIC online account. It might be a system error or some staff reviewing your application, who knows...

approved oct 8th

no, i didn't get email yet. maybe it will take time to send me email.

but my status is closed and it is written my application has been approved.

This sucks because I submitted 11th may although they claim that they received it 12th May even though I got the notification May 11th. I hope this gets settled pronto. They have updated to 16th May

I only get the regular e-mail saying there is no update for every 30 days.
When will it be approved? no one knows. :-\ I hope i get my approval before the year end. I wish and hope everybody get their approval and starts working asap.
stay in home doing nothing makes me sick.

Who ever wants to talk to an agent try 1 888-242-2100 and press 3,2,1(reduces the wait time).

Honestly it will not yield anything except for the applicants prior from the current application date.

I just called them
Though very polite but i was asked to wait till End of Nov and only then if the permit is not issued can they take action
I did apply May13 and am still waiting
I agree a democratic protest will help
If there are some IT guys here we can have an online petition and then contact CBC for a coverage
