Hi!

Forget about 10 applications. I only asked where eligibility is mentioned. Any way its clear now eligibility was passed on 4/11/11 but on 7/11/11 he wrote in note 1 that "Note: Eligibility decision was entered in error"

That means eligibility is not passed yet and assessment showing eligibility passed is not correct.

your case is stuck with ECU I guess. Just give it some time and you will be ok..Good luck

Dear Cocknbull What is ECU? what is the method of their work? is it also working for LVO?

Regards

Hi

ECU stands for "Economic commerce unit" and it exists in case of NDVO Indian applicants. So far never heard of ECU in case of London visa office. It is basically a verification unit which authenticates documents. Thanks

Hi!

Thats means your file has not been reviewed at visa office stage. When did you apply? On the same page what is application assignment due date under application assignment. This is your next BFD. If you want a detailed review you can send me your GCMS in my email removing your personal details. Thanks

30-45 days normally but in some cases it can be delayed. Send them urgent email and enquire?

Hi all,

This thread rocks, and provides a lot of information. +1 to you cocknbull :)

Anyway, I have only very recently started reviewing (mostly briefly) this thread, and I noticed that 'due dates' under medical and admissibilities (usually 1 year after PER or AOR) do not really mean the same thing as BF'D? Does it mean that they will need to review medical, security and criminality at those dates, but not necessarily the dates when I will get MR, or is it actually the date they have to issue MR? Also, if all fields under 'Application Assignment' are empty (and the fact that everything is 'not started'), it means that no officer has done anything yet to my file?

I'm wondering about eligibility though. It says that my total points is 68, but status is not started. There are actually ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENT:1 and ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENT: 2, and it looks like number 2 is only for ministerial instruction eligibility (this one has been met), but number 1 is for selection factor? Am I interpreting this correctly?

And lastly, I ordered this CAIPS (or GCMS) under Access to Information Act, which required me to pay 5 dollars. I ordered, at the end of January, another one, this time using Privacy Act, which is free. I'm assuming that I will receive the notes, containing the same information as before? What is the difference between the two?

Thank you all in advance, and I really appreciate your helping the community :)

Already clarified by cocknbull, Some one who is in Canada needs to tick "privacy act". Those who are outside Canada needs to tick "access to information act" and also need to pay $5 fees.

Hello CnB

what is Due date in GCMS.My due date was end of sept '12.No news till date.PPT with NDVO since Mid Aug12.

Hi!

There are many due dates in GCMS. Which due date you are talking about ? The due date under application assignment is next BFD (bring forward date).

If you are talking about due date in eligibility, medicals, security etc, then these are just approximate dates put by visa office and they are normally after one year of your case gone in to in to process. These dates are of not much importance and there is no guarantee you will get medicals by that date or security will be completed by that date or your case will be completed etc. Thanks
