Dear they are in process of verifying your police clearance certificates. I don't know how long they will take to verify. Islamabad/RWP is easy, I don't know about Dubai...but hopefully sooner insha Allah you will get MR. you can search on google to see if any links are there to get rough idea how long they take to verify police clearance from Dubai...but I think it will be over soon also..

Officially the definition of S15(1) is

"15. (1) The head of a government institution may refuse to disclose any record requested under this Act that contains information the disclosure of which could reasonably be expected to be injurious to the conduct of international affairs, the defence of Canada or any state allied or associated with Canada or the detection, prevention or suppression of subversive or hostile activities, including, without restricting the generality of the foregoing, any such information"


I tell you in simple words that when they do security screening they can hide things in GCMS notes as a precautionary measure but its nothing serious. Just relax, they will do a security check on you and unless it is completed s15(1) will be there. I have seen that in cases of almost all applicants. so no worries...

As per adviced of the seniors of this forum got the CAIPS e-mail on 04DEC12, while I applied through a canadian friend. All positions (PESDEC, SELDEC, MEDDEC etc.....) r blanck/vacant . It looks no action have been taken on my file since May05. This I want to share and taking yr adv.

1. When I checked/readout 13-pages in detail, found one of my family member (child) is missing in it although I submitted the fee for TWO, but showing only one details. Pls adv. what to do?
specialy request to some adv. from coocknbull. I think I should write directly or via friend to the e-mail address from where I got the CAIPS. Important thing is that in CAIPS it is clear that the " processing fee collected for DEP x 2 ".

Hi!

Tick electronic files then status of application then file no and location (location is location of your visa office)

Electronic files are easier and faster to obtain so go for this option.

To obtain the status of a file, the electronic files may be sufficient. Requests for electronic files can be processed more quickly than requests for physical files

Both will fetch the same thing, though reason of refusal is better if he got rejected....but if had already ticked status and applied then no problems..just wait to get notes

How to make a request under the Access to Information Act

If you are making a request on behalf of someone else, you must include consent to release their information.

It is recommended that you include consent for each individual listed in your file over the age of 18.


Application fee:

There is a $5.00 application fee for requests made under the Access to Information Act.
