Who is considered a "landed immigrant" in Canada? As a convention refugee, do I have the same rights as a landed immigrant?

I dont understand the question fully. If you mean to say that you are a convention refugee, and have been granted approval to come to canada, then yes you are a landed immigrant and have same rights as all other immigrant classes, sometimes even more privileges than economic immigrants, in the sense that canada will loan you ticket money to fly to canada, and will help you financially till you are settled.
This is different than many european countries, where a refugee does not automatically recieve those permanent residency rights.

I came to Canada on a visitor visa then applied for refugee and got accepted. Does that make any difference?
