i just notice something it says your app was file nov 13 and you received notice of approval on jan 8 and file transfer on the 18, i applied about 1 week before you and never got a response until jan 20th hmmm not complaining just noticing the inconsistencies

My application was filed November 13, AOR was received on Jan 8, SA on January 18 and transfer on January 25th. I realized that there is so consistency at all. I am just worried because I know how the mail thing goes... I hope they look and see that he has an email on file. All of my communication thus far has been through email with them

my communication was suppose to be my email but i've been getting everything through regular mail hmmm but just keep checking up on them i'm sure everything will be fine. once you see decision made that means they'll be sending out some kind of communication, either asking for his passport or an interview, so that's when you should be looking out either through email or him checking the post office.

Again, no consistency. I would think that if you put an email, they will use it to expedite communication with you but I guess they pick and choose. I hope that you're right and that if they do need anything they email him. Lord knows what will happen if we have to count on the post office in his area to hold anything

You provided meds upfront as well...have you checked ECAS to see if it says medical received?

Yes it has, it was showing that before they even transfer the file, we did it almost 2 months before we sent off our application (we had some delays) so they received it before they got our application.

Yeah my husband did his upfront (2 months before too) and I sent confirmation of it with the application but it still doesn't show as meds received.

We sent in our app on oct 23 so I'm about a month ahead of you ladies. We also did the medicals (husband and 2 dependents) upfront with confirmation in with our package. ECAS still does't say medical received. Hopefully it will change soon.

it might depend on the doctors office who did it, they're the ones responsible for sending the results to cic or maybe they do have them but haven't link them to your application in the system yet

Thanks for the input jacalinkup... I was starting to wonder

He went to one that does e-medical in Kingston at some medical centre. Funny thing is that he did them at the end of October and a week later we got an email from CIC stating that the doctor never submitted hepatitis tests with his results. He had to back, pay a next fee and have them done.

Oh how frustrating. Ive dealt with some headaches trying to get thing done down there, its such a different system. I think it takes awhile for the Kingston VO to even open and start to look into packages. Which is frustrating. Plus they are probably VERY busy rushing to get the farm workers here. I know they opened up the program again. So we are probably not priority at the moment, which sucks!

That was unprofessional, if they're certified for use by cic they should have had a list of requirements that cic needs so they should have known, he shouldn't have had to pay another fee but they do things differently there

The original medical was about $12,000 and you would assume that they would know what the requirements are the overseas medical. I was so surprised when I got the email from CIC in India by the way asking him for additional medical. He returned to the doctor with the email and sure enough the request for Hep B & C tests was there. Of course that was another $6500... friggin joke

Hey all.

Kingston emailed me back this morning, they said my hubby can submit a new PC as its expiring Feb 19th and in regards to the medical, that they will request an extension when necessary ....

So I am assuming my hubby wont be getting PPR anytime soon :(

wow so sorry to hear, I don't understand why some cases get through so fast while some just seem to drag on, were there any difficulties in your case prior? I hope they don't ask us for that again but we plan to submit new ones if it's close to the expiration date and there are no new updates so we don't get delayed.
