Email kingston and ask them to extend the medical and ask them if he will have to re-do the police check. Most likely he will but hey, if you are so close to PPR you never know what they could say. :)
Thank you for the advise. I just did that straight away so I am waiting now to hear back what they have to say on the matter. I am really thankful to find this forum. I feel better about the circumstance base on the support here.

if they just started to process your PR application in September I would think feb-may 2016 you will hear something
people who have filed their application in april have heard from CIC already and have been given 2 months due to document request. how long after initial review if there is no document request does CIC give a respond?

Some people who have heard from CIC and was given two months are just receiving a response now so how does one really know whats going on?
Do they separate the applications and work on the old ones that have document request and then return to those who are due to be reviewed base on processing time?

The thing is, nobody really knows for 100% certain.

Hi I'm new to this forum. My application was received June 22, 2015 and started processing August 31, 2015. Does anybody know how long it takes to find out if you have to have interview?

Lately its been around 9/10 months. Now this can go up or down at anytime but following the recent trend I approximate around Mar/April 2016. But, I dont work at the VO so I cant say 100% sure. Just going by the recent trend.

looking at the spread sheet how to people get threw in 4 months i pray to be so fast

I don't think anyone really knows exactly how long each application takes bc every case is different. In 60 working days after Kingston started processing I got doc request and the bf date is Nov 7 . my medical expires in October so they might ask for another or extended it. If they ask for another its a next 2 mths. And I can't email them for extension bc they have only my lawyers email address. She is telling me to wait and if they ask for one just do it. Frigg mi turn virgin again lol . I'm so frustrated sometimes.

Hey folks, newbie here so not sure if this is really appropriate to ask here, so if so, just feel free to ignore it , thanks.

I'm newly married and miss hubby so heading to JA soon, bet you all know how expensive things can get in these situations, I just put in my package so immigration fees have me broke...so I'm looking to fly into Kingston (usually go into Mobay)...but prices are much more expensive. I'm booked on knutsford to get to where I need to go in JA, but as a female just really nervous about getting from the Kingston airport to new Kingston terminal.

Do any of you have advise or a good safe way you can suggest? inbox me if you prefer.

I'm just spent this week and need to see hubby soon so trying to figure out how best to get to him.

thanks,

The safest way is to usually only go with people you know. Can hubby arrange to pick you up or send a taxi friend? Or you could travel by airport charter taxi to New Kingston to catch the Knutsford

Yea that is fusturating when the lawyer is the one who does the corresponding. If you are not paying a flat fee for your lawyer then of course she would wait for them to request it because she would make more money if she was being charged hourly vs flat rate .. Now this is the thing I don't think they will correspond with you if your husband didn't fill out the notice of representation form for you which would of allowed them to speak to you regarding anything in your husbands PR application .. Does your husband use e-mail ? Maybe you could have your husband email them to inquire about granting him a extension on his medical , which they gave me a extra year on our medical so that shouldn't be a issue ..
