yes girl go and enjoy ur time with hubby ... book a nite at a cheap hotel and just enjoy each other.... I tell him once he is here i am never going back to Jamaica unless a family member close to me dies or something extremely important is happening. I need to explore the rest of the world now.

Well I'm almost at my 12 months mark :'( Unfortunately.. and ive seen people here longer... i just stop stressing...

Is. It me or any have this same problem, you are your spouse argue more than before you filed an application!!!

I have heard the same thing.. like a test! It is good in a way because I have seen so many "bad cases" and it rules them out sometimes, but also tests your patience as hubby and wife.... which in the end is also a good thing right?! Brings you closer together in the end if it is "true". I can honestly say in my relationship we have said we are done and truly I believed it once, but at the end of the day we know how much we love and care for eachother! It is always fights over the simplest dumbest things that we dont even remember why the little tiff started lol We will be laughing at it all when it is all said and done~ God help everyone around us for that time when we are to the moon excited! lol
God truly has his plan in place and we all have to sit and trust in him it will work out the way it is supposed to!

And speaking of your Boyfriend landing...if he landed as a PR and now he is applying for you as common law, he should have added you on his application. This is misrepresentation and he could lose his PR and your application will be denied

You know this reminds me of the first nervous questions I posted under another section of the forum, DG was the one who led me to this forum (Thanks DG) and I had a somewhat similar issue. I left Jamaica as a dependent filed for by my father but I was also in a relationship that was almost 6 years old. Based on how the application was set up CIC wouldn't know of my bf at the time bf because based on the options they had relating to my relationship status (single,conjugal,engaged, married and common law) none of them fit. I was still living with my parents and being provided for so I am CERTAIN they didn't fit but single was the best option so I checked off that box throughout the application. Being together for 6 years and coming of age obviously I was gonna attempt to get him here and continue our lives together (we're both now 23 and been together for over 7 yrs currently), however I did get married 5 months after landing and put in our papers almost 7 months after returning. I sent in pictures (equipped with a legend highlighting mum, best friend and my other family member of mine and all of his family members too), a few western union receipts, a BIBLE of phone calls (equipped with the same legend as pics showing where he made calls keeping contact with my ppl and his ppl to show that I know them) and some minor stuff I can't remember. Overall I tried to make the app portray that I knew him well and for a long time.

So I am going to repeat a question similar to the one I posted in the first forum: Can anyone veteran/knowledgeable reassure again me (based and the info given) with facts that KNG won't refuse my app because they have no prior record of my current husband. :'(

Sorry I know I should be used to this by now but I am really freaking out because it's been a year and 4 months since I've seen him and due to changes in my financial situation it I don't know when Ill see him again so being refused at this point......I'd just die!

CeCe....your situation is different for a couple reasons

1) you weren't living common law when you landed nor when you were sponsored as a dependent.
2) you are married now and applied as married.

You should be ok with your application as you applied as married, showed proof of your marriage and also the on going relationship- you were also not common law at any point prior to you landing. You have also been in a long relationship with your spouse...so they will see that and also know that you guys are not playing the system.

For Roxie...they are applying as common law and CIC will see that they were in a common law relationship at the time her boyfriend landed. This is misrepresention as per CIC rules. He needed to declare this when he landed. They will see his UCI number and cross reference this. Also...this has been confirmed by a few veteran members on here on other forum threads. We are hoping for the best for her as we do with everyone on here.

I just checked the spreadsheet , it looks as though KGN doesn't have any PP ,

Hey Everyone !! Congrats to all of you who are finally free of this crap waiting game Just thought I'd come and update everyone this month makes it 1 year since applying, Hubby's medical expired in January so I emailed them 2 months ago with questions, it took them 3 weeks to reply and they said they've extended his medical for another year and if they had further requests they would contact my hubby! My ECAS still just says "Application Received" I check it religiously daily but I call the 1-888 # and do it over the phone ! Another thing I changed my address 5 months ago with them I actually called in and did it and updated it on the site and it hasn't changed still showing my old address .......That's weird! Anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to see if there's been a change in my application?

hi every one had any one ever had this problem before?

i tried to log in to check my application today and this is what it says after i put all the correct info in thats on the letter they mailed to us, and ive always able to login and every time i login it says application received, so i dont know as anyone experience this before?
