Welcome RoxieB, try not to get frustrated and worry at this point seeing that the application is already submitted.
You have received very sound advise so far.
Continue to talk to your boyfriend and let him know that if the application should be refused it will frustrate both of you; and maybe withdrawing it and waiting until you are married as others have suggested is a better option.
Jamaican applications whether we like to believe it or not are judged heavily by immigration because of Jamaica's weak economy and high crime rate; which makes them believe we want to leave our country due to social distress; therefore it is best to have an application that will leave no room for questions.
Common-law is not easy to prove by immigration standards, a trini forum member was denied earlier this year and she had tons of evidence of living with her husband in a common-law relationship for about two years. Yet CIC refused them.
None of us know whether or not this will happen to you but to avoid sleepless nights of someone else deciding whether you and your bf should be together, its always best to leave no stone unturned.
All the best; and I pray whatever happens, you will be together with your bf soon.

At this point its no longer in my hands as I said My Sponsors aunt to ovr the paper work and has insisted that everything is fine. I sent them all the requested documents and proof. letters from my boss our doctor friends etc aas proof of relationship our bank account our insurance, pictures, western union slips and they sent it off..after talking with sammy i asked them both again they said nothing is wrong with the way they did the application..so i guess if they dont mind incurring the expense then #shrug
Im nt sure i explained it right to sammy and i do believe I myself would have to explain it to CIC ...if they give me a chance to..#shrug..idk
