Hi Sandy, you need to pay the sponsor fee ($75) and the principal applicant fee ($475) together (total of $550). The other $490 for the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) does not need to be paid until it is requested by the visa office. If you have it before they request it, you can pay it and forward the information to them to save some time.

Well said mama Reds.. miss you! don't you miss the old days when we all cried together, celebrated together, laughed together.. when members cared, got together and sincerely wanted the best for each other. It was not that long ago.. Can happen again. This love boat often feel like its sinking but we can/should depend on a joke, a song, an advice to pick us up.. The music, joke, announcement, social commentary helps to pass the time. Ladies and gents take it easy with each other, like my friend ready says take a chill pill peeps. I know when the sugar stick is absent sometimes the girls get uptight... it will be all over soon, relax and be good to each other.. We are all in this together, those of us who are with our partner can still offer some advice about the process and beyond.. the period of adjustment.

Oh, and Happy August long weekend to everyone in Ontario! I miss having Emancipation and Independence Days to celebrate, but at least I get this one day, LOL.

They asked for mine in march and I paid it right away but according to my notes they didn't touch my file again until July so it can put a delay if u don't pay it right away.

Wow Chickie. That was a long delay after paying RPFF. I got the same advice you gave about trying to pay everything upfront or hopefully before it was requested to avoid such long delays and thankfully I took the advice. I am sure you will be hearing something very soon. Best wishes.
