Good evening forum family, I hope everyone is good.

I just noticed the CIC website updated the quarterly processing date on October 24 and it is now showing Kingston taking 17 months for Step 2: Assesment of Person Being Sponsored (applicant). *sigh* :'(

Rest your mind. :)

Based on the stats it appears that the 17 month mark includes ALL Family Class applications that are processed with a decision made from as early as 6 months up to 17 months. Applications falling within the 17 month (one year ending Q2 June 30, 2012) timeline would be considered as "within normal processing time" whereas the one year ending Q1 March 31, 2012 was 16 months. CIC aren't very timely with updates as we can all see.

Hi ladyjess. The posted timelines in stage two for processed applications on the CIC website (in Kingston's case is 17 months) includes Family Class PR applications (namely Partners, Spouses and Children) that are approved/denied from as early as 6 months and up to 17 months. However, there is a small percentage that go beyond the 17 month mark.

Which visa office is handling the processing of your PR application?

I know but I'd still love to see the number of months go down not up! ;) Thanks for your positive outlook though, it's contagious and encouraging! Come on Kingston throw us a bone!!!! :P

Good Morning: Thank you for the information. Much appreciated!!

Hello to all again,

A very sweet bird told me that the forum is on a much more positive note then when I left....so I thought I would pop back in and share.

On Monday night I checked my ecas and it was changed from 'application received' to 'in process'. The exact wording was...."We started processing your application on November 13th, 2012."
To say I was excited is putting it mildly. I wanted to shout from my rooftop! Just to get an acknowledgement that they are working on our application was such a feeling of relief.
I have a very strong feeling that Kingston is going to open up the floodgates for everyone.....singing....I'll be Home for Christmas.....Just you wait and see...LOL!!

Has anyone else had an update on ecas with an actual date they started processing the application?

Ohhh my gosh RL That is awesome to hear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations........it is a great feeling to know they are actually working on your file now I bet!

WOW finally an update yahhhh Kingston is working woohoo......keep them coming Kingston!

Hey Royal Lolly......my file has been in process since February 14,2012 with medicals received........and I'm still waithanging.......waiting......and waiting.....I hope soon.......my uncle did say once 2 me that November is the time they try to clear out house.....its the 21st and I still have hope.....hang on every1....our christmas presents will arrive........
