Would you say on average that 7-8 months is the wait time from the time Kingston received your file? Granted all the processes are clear medical,criminal, and background check for a response? Most people on our forum, who have been waiting for longer than 7 months, know why their process has gone over 7 months... either its because of dna testing, children on application, RCMP clearance, etc. I don't have any of these. I have been waiting a year and the only update that I have received voluntarily from Kingston was my husband's address was added to his ecas back in June. I have been waiting a year. There is no explanation for my wait. I may never know what is taking so long. So this is why I chose to ask my MP for the inquiry.
Seeing as you got sponsor approval in May, and it takes on avg 2 weeks for KGN to receive your file, I would try to hold off til December before inquiring. But, I would also be prepared at that time to order your GCMS notes so you can learn more about your file.

praying that all will go well ...some news stations are forcasting that it will be a catergory 1 hurricane and the first direct hit since Gilbert in 88 .... praying that all will be well and there will be minimal damage and everyone will be safe ...........
