Morning Forum Family!

So, we're nearing the end now... Got the call from KGN last Monday (week and a half ago) to send a DHL envelope prepaid to them. So we sorted that and they received it on Monday 12th. So far, no news. The tracking number shows nothing yet, is it common for KGN to take 2 weeks to put some documents into an envelope?

In any case, I can't complain... although I won't take it as being approved until we actually see that letter!!!

Good morning megs, kgn had my hubs pp since last friday, and I am kinda vex I have no control over it he isnt giving me tracking number ( says he didnt even look on the receipt if there was one : ) lol but maybe yours will come soon, then maybe mine after lol..

Thanks 4 thoes who have showed me love. I am keeping busy. Currently on my way to get my baby registry done. I am praying 4 all of you. This is one of the hardest hurdels I've ever had to jump over in my life. But I'm holding on. Good Luck to you all. I'm am so Excited 4 those that are making progess. Keep us updated.

Hey forum!!! Its been a while since I have posted on here and holy KGN is on a role this mth. Congrats to all the updates and ppr's. I'm so happy to see kgn finally moving along fast.
Charlie how are you doing? Was hoping to see a ppr update for you but very happy to see you got the redo paperwork and all is sent off. That means you aren't to far away
Well the last week has been like summer here, shorts, tanks and flip flops but its gonna cool down a bit starting tomorrow. Mr proper was asking if we are done with the cold weather now and even complained bout the heat lol (imagine that) I keep telling him he hasn't seen nothing yet, to wait till its 32 degrees and with humidity 42!!!! Thankfully I have central air.
Well its back to work for me, take care everyone and I can't wait to read more updates!!

Basha, see what happen when me work make me facilitate training two days in a row, we don't start the morning off wit a likkle patois, baby don't get her/his patois lesson for the day, baby get vex and you get depress! Charlie, being the Finance/Auditor that you are can you put an audit in place to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Hello All,

Trust me when I say your lively, positive and encouraging banter is just what I needed. Frustration was about to lick me down. ??? But now that I see so many ppl not only sharing my struggle, but are making it over this hurdle (the long wait) I know I can too. My husband sent off his passport, the website says 'decision made' but he is waiting for them to send his passport back. Trying to be patient and hopeful. Thanks for the up lifting posts. Welcome holdindafaith..glad to hear you're almost at the end!

I was reminded today that it is Jamaica's 50th anniversary this year. In Canada, there is an organization called Grand Jamaica Homecoming 2012. It is a movement of sorts to encourage all Jamaicans of the diaspora to return to Jamaica this year. To Charlie and those living in Jamaica, what's happening in Jamaica in celebration of the 50th anniversary? Have the festivities already started? And do you know of any discounted hotels, resorts for the celebration? Need a really nice place to go for our anniversary ;D

LHNB, I am sure there are activities taking place, but honestly I have not heard much about them, LOL. I avoid the news like the plague, as I find the constant diet of violence in the news does nothing for my digestion. I do know that in schools there are activities each month to mark the lead-up to the occasion, as the children will be out of school by then (can you tell I work in an office full of parents? LOL). Various public institutions are also marking the occasion in their own ways.

As for hotels, I have not heard of any offers linked to the homecoming (yet) but I am sure there will be. August holidays are always a big local traveling weekend, so I am sure there will be deals to mark the occasion. They don't usually market the local deals until closer to the time (you know how last-minute Jamaicans are!) and I have not looked at the overseas deals, although I am sure they are out there!

First I am hearing about it too, I go home every year so, I done my bit LOL...Mommy bawling for me to come home, now that hubby soon come I am so torn cuz I wont be down as often and I am going to miss her so so much! I think she is going to be so sad when MrLwsn leaves oh god mi feel it already..I may send my kids to keep her company for the summer, but it not the same
