I'm not sure about this...but I have heard around the forum usually 2-3 weeks :s
You're anxious eh girl? I don't blame ya!! 7 months is a long time honey.

LOL, no, not so much anxious yet...I am just trying to plan wat to do next month. I promised mommy I was coming, but in light of ppr, I don't know wat to do. I kno Charlie n everyone said 1-4 weeks for pp to come back, but then I'm seeing canhub dem waited longer.......

In our case they called my husband. They don't notify sponsor at all at this point. My hub did not get anything in writing.

That happend last week Thursday.

I think Kingston is trying 2 finish all the files they received by December 2011.
I think they want to have them done before there annual quarterly update In May.

We are still waiting for the letter . My husband only lives 45 minutes from Kingston so don't know why the letter is taking so long.

Road2Calgary, that is fantastic that you got the call, look at that! Flagpoling just means you go to the border and advise the US authorities you don't wish to enter the US, you are there to "land" as a permanent resident (they are used to this). They will turn you around and send you back to the Canadian side, but don't worry this has no effect on any future entries into the US. You will go through the same process as at the airport: confirm some details on your COPR, sign in a few places, and voila! Done, welcome to Canada (as a PR, haha!). It doesn't matter if you land without the children, as long as you land before they do (as you are the principal applicant).

Ok! They called my daughter in Jamaica ( I am here in Canada on a tourist record) and she gave them my husbands number here in Canada, they didn't get him so they left him a msg. I was talking to my daughter when I heard a beep and clicked over to answer. The Officer identified herself and told me she is ready to finalize my file and I need to come to JA and hand in my passport along with my children's and also a DHL prepaid envelope, she said my medical expires in May so I need to do it ASAP! I told her " you just made my day" and she laughed! I want to say Congrats to all who received updates and for those still waiting keep faith. There were days when I got anxious and I started reading this thread from the beginning to pass time and keep focused. I want to say a big thank YOU ALL! I was a lurker who only came out when CharlieD received an update. I want to tell you Charlie I really appreciate you......and I know you will be rewarded for you diligence and you selflessness.

I'm almost ready to get excited for my call, LOL. The medical was only done 2 weeks ago, though, so it may be another little while for me. I had 60 days (until Apr 21) to submit everything, so who knows, they might wait until then to check to see if it's all there. Whatever happens, this has been quite the ride, and it wouldn't have been the same without keeping busy updating everyone and cheering on those who reach this journey's end.

she didn't do the meds. until Feb. 21 then brought in the meds.
receipts and PP on Feb. 23. So kingston had her PP for 26 days.

Lovehasnobo: I will definitely let you know how my experience of going down and coming back with wifey goes.

Morning Forum Family!

So, we're nearing the end now... Got the call from KGN last Monday (week and a half ago) to send a DHL envelope prepaid to them. So we sorted that and they received it on Monday 12th. So far, no news. The tracking number shows nothing yet, is it common for KGN to take 2 weeks to put some documents into an envelope?

In any case, I can't complain... although I won't take it as being approved until we actually see that letter!!!

Hey Meg! I'm so glad KG has finally gotten around to sorting you guys out! Yes, turnaround time is about 2-3 weeks when they have the prepaid envelope. It should be soon for you, they got it about 10 days ago, so keep watching the DHL tracker to see when the package goes active!

Well, we have a lot of folks getting ready to land in the upcoming weeks, and visits in progress for others! Lot's of happy people out there, KG! Keep it going, it's only "Thank God! Pre-Friday is here!" (AKA Thursday) so there is plenty of time for you to make even more happy!

Ah ok, That explains it...lol..kgn is messing up my easter plans, but in a good way I suppose I cant wait to hear your story, my husband not letting me land with him, lol he feels to make the journey on his own.
