Oh I had that link, I thought I was missing something.

Sponsorship was approved Oct. 6, 2011.

the status is "application received."

Once I clicked that link, I saw "We received XXX's application for permanent residence on July 22, 2011.
Medical results have been received."

Does that mean it's in Kingston? Thanks again.

Honestly, I don't know. As has been said before, I have seen this before (in February this year) where a surge of applicants from various visa offices, including Kingston, received that update, and it did not mean that they were close to finalization, it was just a system-wide "event"/glitch. Many of those persons went on to wait months for finalization, some of them are still waiting!

Yup I remember that charlie, I got that update in feb as well. wish this was good news and not another system problem!!!

I didn't think mine would be close to finalization at all..I'm just wondering if it made it's way to Kingston yet. It's been 12 days since the sponsorship approval.

It takes about 10-14 days for the files to be received in Kingston, so it could very well be received.

Hello Group! Hope all is well, I've been busy as a bee assembling material for application which I will be submitting soon. So excited, but also trying to wrap my mind around the fact that it will take a while. Thank you to those who have been helping me along the way! I have a quick question....

On the medical form Appendix C where it says "visa office that will be processing the file" would my hubby put Mississauga? He's in Jamaica

Update from Highly Favoured

On Monday of this week I received my PR ID card in the mail that is so awesome.
School is going great for me so far trying to get my GED my exam will be nex month so pls pray for that I pass all 5 subjects and when I do pass all five I can move on to do grade twelve.
