Ok, I just took your advice Charlie and called the call centre, they said a decision has been made on October 20th and my paperwork has been sent to the higher commission in Jamaica where they will process the rest of the application!! And that a letter has been sent to me on Ocober 20th!!! (which means it's still in the mail).... so I asked "what was the descision" and she said I have met all the requirements for sponsership!!

SO THIS IS GOOD RIGHT!!!

Basically the processing of applications are in 2 stages so you're done on stage1 meaning the sponsor is approved (Decision made). Stage2 is the finally stage where embassy in your country will contact you if any additional document is needed or not before requesting for your Passport so the visa can be issued.

yAY!! I mailed my application on August 10th so it took exacxtly 72 Days to get an answer
but, ok..so now I can get comfortable!
I went to see a psycic on Saturday!! lol....he says he will be here in January...I was like : Good one! So in the letter will I get an e-cas tracking number?
I'm nervous about the Doctor....same one as Mr.Proper! ugh!!

72 days is right around the stated timeline, suki, so that's good. Well, not to diss your psychic or anything, but he might not know much about KG, haha! Still, KG has done other applications in about 4 months, so who knows? Anything is possible.

Your sponsor approval letter will contain your Universal Client ID number (UCI) and you can use that to access eCAS along with your details. You may also use your receipt number. Give it about 10 days after Oct 20th, and try those. It takes about 10-14 days for KG to receive a file from CPC-M.

72 Days was almost right on the nose, so I am not complaining at all!! I know the psycic was just for fun!! But he would totally make me a believer if it did happen in January! 8)
My girlfriend was married in Dominican Republic, both her husband and his son made it to Calgary in record time...exactly 3 months !!! wow hey!!

Wow indeed. W've had one 3, 4 and 5 months respectively on this forum, but the majority have been 7 months and over. According to CIC's latest data tables, in the last 12 months 20% of cases were completed in 7 months, 50% in 12 months and 80% in 21 months. I suspect the timeline is going to increase from 17 months when they update the quarterly processing times. :-X
