@ Shortyp . Your son is adorable. :-* Happy Birthday to your little man and many happy returns. My daughter just turned 1 on the 12th of sep, she started walking the day after. Children are precious gifts from God so we gotta cherish them.
Thank you. Funny you say that, his name is Nathan and the meaning of his name is "gift from God".
Happy bday to your lil one too :)

Omg hahahhaha thats so funny. Thats what me and my hubby do too. Netflix n skype for our netflix n chill sessions haha.

Im so hooked on OITNB but gota find something else to watch until the new season!
I heard Narcos was good.

PS You do not have to be in a relationship for over a year to sponsor a spouse.
Its common law where u have to show proof of living together for at least 12 months. If legally married then no specific period of time.

good morning! just a random statement. But there are always trolls lurking about. :p I try and not bite when they provoke but I guess I get my frustrations out too. I am not saying there is here...but on other threads. And in the past this one has had a few. What is wrong with ppl to sink to that level of hurting and provoking emotions that are we hold dear to ourselves. As for me I cannot wait to say add me to sheet. 5 more weeks or so.

lets continue to be nice; as we are on this journey together and support thru good and not so good days, as we will become family joined thru our mutually shared goal of reuniting with our loved ones.

wishing u a beauty of a day.

Completely agree... Waiting is so hard, special occasions, Holidays, even weekends feel like every other day. Feeling demotivated, I just put my package in this week so I have a ways to go... But will make it through

I think of him in everything I do. actually visualize him. and at the risk of sounding cray...don't laugh but I call out to him like he is in the kitchen.

this is the joy that he brings me..experiencing life like its new again. It has awakened me. And he treats me like a queen. Some ppl ask why I could not find someone here...men here are picky and don't know what they want or appreciate what they have. Anyways there I go generalizing.

I watched this movie about a woman that went to costa rica who gave up on life and discovered the beauty of life again, course a man helped a little too. its called after words

girl you're not cray lol. i totally can relate the amount of joy your significant other brings to you its hard to go through the days without them. but i have to second your statement about men in Canada especially men in Toronto well the ones ive encountered they dont know the fiurst thing about commitment and are selfish. that what makes this process worth it. knowing i have a lifetime of being with someone that understands the value of love and a commitment. i literally named my car after my husband lol whatever keeps us connected to the ones we love does not make us crazy.

not crazy indeed. I did my fair share of dating in Toronto and my ego kept taking hits, all the guys I met seemed to ask the same questions, "what do you do?" , how often do you go to the gym…can you cook..what can you cook...why aren't you married? OMG, I was so annoyed and frustrated…I spent my early days in school, once I got my career settled, I got sick and had to have surgery…uh sorry dumb a$$, I was working on surviving instead of hitting the club scene to find a man who wanted me for my a$$ets… when life finally settled down for me, I was a bit past my prime and encountering all these men who made me feel like something was wrong with me. SO ANNOYING.

I was pretty much trying to gear myself up to be alone forever, focussed on my career instead of with one of these dummies, when , by chance, on vacation I met the man who was to be my husband. Completely different from any man I have met in Canada, he will be worth the wait when he gets here :)

Incidentally, when I go to the gym to do my classes, I sometimes picture his tall dark skinny self huffing and puffing and getting all the moves wrong and it makes me giggle like a crazy person. I'm married, but by myself a lot, talk to him all the time and pray this waiting passes fast.

Thats the first I've heard of being together a year to sponsor. Would that not be those in conjugal relationships. I had registered on this forum soon after I married and saw many people come and go. Some that have become my friends outside the forum. My point is, I am somewhat familiar with the process, but still seek guidance not necessarily opinions. I choose not to guess or assume anything, whether my file contains enough or whether the amount of times I travel is acceptable.

;) but your distance will be bridged as I see your hubby has his PPR. much blessings, when will be arriving?
were looking into him coming the second week in October . I have a Condo on bottom road that I want him to try to rent out before he leaves but if he can't I will just have to get a real estate agent to assist, I just felt more comfortable Renting it out to someone either my husband or I have met . And sorry I misunderstood it is conjugal relationships the year.. ALSo ALL WOMEN/MEN SPONSORING THERE SPOUSE MAKE SURE IF YOU ASSISTED YOUR SPOUSE ON HIS PR APPLICATION THAT HE READS IT ALL THOROUGHLY AS KINGSTON IS DOING PHONE INTERVIEWS NOW TO HELP DECIDE WHETHER OR NOT THEY WILL WAIVE THE INTERVIEW .. I am sure it is not done in all cases but just make sure your spouse is prepared in case he does receive a phone call from the embassy to confirm some questions ., my husbands best friend got his call from KINGSTON yesterday and now he is all stressed out worried there is gonna be a problem as he stated the reason her child doesn't live with her was because children's aid apprehended the child from the fathers house , when this isn't what is written in his application . In fact his wife wrote that she didn't know the child's father .. They ended the conversation telling him they would consider whether or not to waive a interview .he said he was caught off guard because he didn't know they would call and ask questions on the phone which hopefully doesn't effect there case negatively.. SO BE PREPARED IN CASE YOU ARE PHONED AND THEY CALL FROM A UNKNOWN NUMBER SO IF YOU USUALLY DONT ANDWER UNKNOWN OR PRIVATE NUMBERS IT IS ESSENTIAL TO ANSWRT THEM WHILE GOING THROUGJ THE IMMIGRATION PROCESS

yes he works 12 hrs a day - little time for anything else. at one time before hours got cut he was working 6 days a week. he is a hard worker and I have no doubt in my mind he will work hard here. He has opened my eyes to so much, I see the world a little different now. So not seeing as much as I would like - its a small sacrifice to a life time ahead. this is what gets me thru my dark days..my future and what is to come, not without its challenges I am certain.

how does your family and friends take your marriage? anyone want to share. Mine are all supportive or at least acting like they do. But my mom. Nope. she has some strong opinions, he is with you for the papers. its not a race thing, if I was married to a russian I am pretty certain she would think same. Or I pray its not race. I mean gees we are first nations...and within our family its pretty diverse. Anyways its time for some binge watching. Watching empire. season 1 eps. 2.
The majority of my family is ok however there are a few that are totally against it and constantly are negative. My family members are Jamaican so they will try to tell Me that they know it's for papers and that's where they spent the majority of there life and blah blah blah ... I just keep myself distanced from all the negative people because if I listened to them I would be unhappy .. While yes this does happen it isn't always the case. Since the beginning I have known all my husbands friends and family and there's times I'm left alone with them all so I know If he was hiding stuff he would never freely leave me alone with all his family or friends .. Nobody knows our marriages like we do and I know for a fact my husband loves me and it's not about papers . I could have chosen to live there but I wouldn't want to ; maybe just for the winters lol ... It's terrible that immigration has the fate of our marriages at there hands because how can one really determine what is genuine from what isn't ?? And unfortunately some genuine relationships ever get turned down because of stereotyping .. For example if there is a 10+ year age difference now with the woman being older they will scrutinize the application a lot more than my case .. I'm 29 my husband is 33... My husband also is a hard worker and has great work ethics , a lot of Jamaicans do i don't know why they have a reputation for being lazy it's not the case ... My husband has several things he did for money and 1 thing he was doing was spear fishing and going to nightsea... I didn't want him to do that anymore because the most he would get for going for 6 hours was $3000 and just twice a week he would go . It scared me shitless with him being in the ocean nighttime as I wouldn't even go up to my knees in the night so I asked him to stop . I know it's hard for him to make money legally without a great education or doing something illegal so I offer to help him out financially from time to time so I can have peace of mind knowing he is safe and a shark isn't gonna bite off his leg .. He's brave and some people look down on it that I help him out financially from time to time but we're married and I think it's totally acceptable , same way it's gonna n acceptable for him to help me out from time to time when he moves here ..

Kingston began processing there application a week after mine .. The last correspondence they got between them and Immigratuon was the same as my last response "your application is in a final processing query for a VO to determine wether or not they will require a interview or waive it ..

Now this is the thing I did not know and I'm sure many others did not know Kingston would call and interview over the phone ... It was a few questions the VO asked
1. Has your wife ever been in trouble ?
2.why doesn't your wife's son live with her ?
3.are you ok with your wife's employment ?(she's a exotic dancer )
4.what do you plan on doing when you come to Canada to change that since you don't like it ?
5. Do you have any family or friends in canada ?
6. How do we know your not using your wife for a visa ? (That they asked plain out )
He just called me again and my husband is calling me and his friends wife I wish I had the answers for them but he was totally caught off guard and he answered the questions wrong and immediately realized after he answered wrong and said she hasn't been in trouble but she was 10 years ago and he knew that .. And he told them he moved 12 months ago out of the garrison community and is renting a villa in iron shore which he was wrong with he isn't renting there he just stays there periodically ... He's kicking himself in the ass right now because he said he just froze and his mind went blank when they said they were calling from the Canadian embassy ...
He said the VO ended the conversation telling him that she was going to think about whether or not to waive the interview and will notify him so check the mail in the near future ....

My husband just got a passport request mailed to him no phone call .... I have also recently learned that the U.S. And Canada share information with immigration visas so if your spouse previously applied for a fiancé visa in the USA and it isn't declared on your sponsorship application they will know and this is the case with him .. 6 years ago a woman from the U.S. Applied for a fiancé visa for him which they broke up and they both just didn't show for the interview so I'm hoping this may not have triggered initial suspicion from Kingston ..

I am also hearing that people have gotten passport requests over the phone ?? Is this true ??

I wish I had more information to give them and they don't use computers so they aren't able to check different forums themselves and there really isn't much specific information online regarding VOs calling applicants to ask questions when deciding whether or not to waive a interview ...

What they don't realize is many people freeze under pressure and be felt so off guard and didn't expect it .. He expected if a interview was required he would get notice but he didn't .. I will keep you all posted and this week if they receive any notifications I will let you all know ...

And if anyone knows anything about the next step after a phone interview please share the info with me . I would appreciate it

AND INFORM ALL YOUR SPOUSES TO BE PREPARED AND ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS IN THE RARE EVENT THEY DO CALL , I don't know if this is new or standard ..
