@ Paula-T...If it is not going too much into your hubby's friends biz and if u do know...can u share with us at what point your hubby's friend is with his application..meaning, did he send in a few months ago, in process, asked to bring in docs, has he sent in or has been asked to pay his RPRF, send in pp pics etc...initial review? Just wanted an idea thanks.....
Kingston began processing there application a week after mine .. The last correspondence they got between them and Immigratuon was the same as my last response "your application is in a final processing query for a VO to determine wether or not they will require a interview or waive it ..
Now this is the thing I did not know and I'm sure many others did not know Kingston would call and interview over the phone ... It was a few questions the VO asked
1. Has your wife ever been in trouble ?
2.why doesn't your wife's son live with her ?
3.are you ok with your wife's employment ?(she's a exotic dancer )
4.what do you plan on doing when you come to Canada to change that since you don't like it ?
5. Do you have any family or friends in canada ?
6. How do we know your not using your wife for a visa ? (That they asked plain out )
He just called me again and my husband is calling me and his friends wife I wish I had the answers for them but he was totally caught off guard and he answered the questions wrong and immediately realized after he answered wrong and said she hasn't been in trouble but she was 10 years ago and he knew that .. And he told them he moved 12 months ago out of the garrison community and is renting a villa in iron shore which he was wrong with he isn't renting there he just stays there periodically ... He's kicking himself in the ass right now because he said he just froze and his mind went blank when they said they were calling from the Canadian embassy ...
He said the VO ended the conversation telling him that she was going to think about whether or not to waive the interview and will notify him so check the mail in the near future ....
My husband just got a passport request mailed to him no phone call .... I have also recently learned that the U.S. And Canada share information with immigration visas so if your spouse previously applied for a fiancé visa in the USA and it isn't declared on your sponsorship application they will know and this is the case with him .. 6 years ago a woman from the U.S. Applied for a fiancé visa for him which they broke up and they both just didn't show for the interview so I'm hoping this may not have triggered initial suspicion from Kingston ..
I am also hearing that people have gotten passport requests over the phone ?? Is this true ??
I wish I had more information to give them and they don't use computers so they aren't able to check different forums themselves and there really isn't much specific information online regarding VOs calling applicants to ask questions when deciding whether or not to waive a interview ...
What they don't realize is many people freeze under pressure and be felt so off guard and didn't expect it .. He expected if a interview was required he would get notice but he didn't .. I will keep you all posted and this week if they receive any notifications I will let you all know ...
And if anyone knows anything about the next step after a phone interview please share the info with me . I would appreciate it
AND INFORM ALL YOUR SPOUSES TO BE PREPARED AND ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS IN THE RARE EVENT THEY DO CALL , I don't know if this is new or standard ..
