Sooooooooo lonely :(
I just wanna go to JA.

His PC should be ready today or tomorrow. He's telling me he wants to bring it to Kingston directly.
Kingston never replied to my request to extend medical, it's expiring at the end of this month! They even deleted that whole paragraph out of my email.
I have a non-stop headache over this....I have 0 patience. Don't know what to do to keep my mind from wandering.
It really is frustrating. I thought it was just me that they did that to!
I know the feeling, these ppl need to hurry up

how long has it been since you emailed them regarding the medical ? This is my exact question in a email I sent to Kingston .. (also does my husband need to submit another medical and police certificate as it is almost approaching the 1 year make since we had them both done .).... I did copy and paste the email I received back from them but I will repost it again incase you haven't noticed ::
A request for extension of your spouse and non-accompanying dependant’s medical validity has been granted. The results are valid until 4 August 2016.... If it's been more than 2-3 weeks since you emailed them I personally would send another email .. Did you get confirmation from CIc stating they received the email you sent ? And I hear you I also wanna go to Jamaica so so bad lol the day after I come home I wanna fly back .. Some people say you should just go ahead and redo them but Kingston advised me not to do so and again it was apt of 3 weeks after they extended the medical I received PPR...

exactly !!! Like I said before if visiting , working and study visas can be processed in approx 30 days why does it take them months to process them here ..I guess it's done intentionally cause if people got through in 30 days you would have a lot more people willing to marry and sponsor someone if they are being paid to do so .. Being realistic the majority of the people I know would never even consider marrying someone for money if they have to wait 23 months for it to be processed after all that's a long time to have your life on "hold" so to speak ... It's a long stressful process but have faith our husbands will be with us all soon .. And Shorty when I was given the extension on the medical it was me who contacted them first ...I will post my exact email to them word for work ::

Did they just contact you on their own or did you email them first? Just asking as they have only emailed me if I emailed them first (except when I got SA and when they asked for birth certificates)
this is copy and pasted from the initial email I sent immigration regarding my medicals and other info I wanted to send them, of course I did remove the file number and names I had at the top before posting ::: this email was sent to Kingston July 30 and I received a response from them Aug 7/15... The first time I never waited 2-3 weeks for a response from them so here it goes :::::::Since we summited our application for spousal sponsorship I have made 4 more trips to Jamaica to visit him so I have additional passport stamps and boarding passes, more proof of digicel top ups I have sent to his phone as well as more western union money transfer slips . I was wondering if it is beneficial to send copies of this additional information to Kingston Jamaica or is it not necessary to provide any additional proof of relationship at this point unless we received correspondence from immigration specifically requesting more additional documents to support our marriage. also does my husband need to submit another medical and police certificate as it is almost approaching the 1 year make since we had them both done . I understand your office is busy and receives a high volume of calls and emails daily and I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused by emailing to ask this question. I just want to ensure I provide any information that will be helpful in assisting the officer who is processing our application ...I did call the CiC Mississauga call centre to ask them and they told I would have to email or phone The Canadian embassy in Kingston to enquire because the application is no longer being processed on this side as they have already approved me as a sponsor and the application has been forwarded to Kingston Jamaica already . Thanks for your time it's much appreciated.

yes I have received a few from them .. 1 at first saying they received the application and it will be placed in a processing query to be reviewed by the next available VO.... Then another one that basically said the same thing again ... And the one we received last said that they have reviewed all necessary documents and do not need anything further from me and my file is once again placed in a processing query for a final decision and we would be notified if any action is required on our part ..that was also about a week before my ECas changed to in process and approx a month before PPR... If you read back through my posts you should see the last letter I received that I copy and posted on this forum

On what date did u get this response:

We have received all the required relationship documents with the file and your spouse's application is currently awaiting review by a visa officer.

march 23/15 ... I received this ::::Dear Madam,

Your spouse’s application is in a processing queue and will be reviewed shortly by an officer.
April 23/15 after another email I sent for a update I received this ::::We have responded to your recent enquiry.

Please be advised that the status of your spouse V application has not changed since our last reply to you. Our office cannot provide you with an update of your case status by email on a regular basis, but rest assured we will contact you when your file has reached the next processing stage.

Our office is unable to provide you with case notes for your spouse’s application. You may wish to contact Case Processing Centre (CPC) Mississauga.

In order to serve all clients better, we will be unable to answer further correspondence at this time.

July 3/15 after sending another email asking for info I received this reply ::

Please understand that our office cannot provide you with updates by email on a regular basis, but rest assured that we will contact you if any action is required on your part.

In order to serve all clients better, we will be unable to answer further correspondence at this time.

Regards,

July 10/15 I then emailed my local MP as well as Chris Alexander's office just basically explaining the issues we have had in the family this last year and the importance of my husband being here with me ...
My mP did say they would send a request to inquire to Kingston but can not say they will respond as it has not passed the normal processing time yet ....

Fusturated again July 30/15 I emailed Kingston again that's the email I posted earlier today , that's when I received the email from them on Aug7/15 with the medical extension ,

and this was the response I received from The minister of immigrations office mind you it took over a
Month to get a response but it does seem like they did look into it ::::::::
Thank you for your email of July 10, 2015, addressed to Mr. Chris Alexander, Canada’s Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, concerning your sponsorship undertaking on behalf of your husband’s application for permanent residence.

Please be assured that Citizenship and Immigration Canada reviews all applications objectively and consistently to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all applicants. We assess each application on its own merit against the program requirements.

We realize that those who have submitted their applications look forward to a decision being rendered within a reasonable waiting period after applying. We make every effort to deal with the applications we receive in the most efficient and effective way. However, the many steps involved in processing an application, coupled with the volume of applications, sometimes make it difficult to conclude cases in as timely a manner as we would like.

Our records confirm that your undertaking was approved and that your husband’s application is being processed at the Canadian visa office in Kingston. Please rest assured that you or your husband will be contacted should additional information or documentation be required.

Current statistics based on historical processing data indicate that officers in Kingston are finalizing 80% of applications in this category in approximately 23 months from the date of receipt of the completed application.

i know ...it's wrong to because when they send us these things it gives us all this hope and excitement thinking that they really went out of there way to help us , they probably just check a system to make sure it's Input and then send everyone the same reply .... But in a sense the last paragraph that says statistics show the processing standard is 23 months from the time they receive the apocation vs the processing, and if they have to request medicals , police checks and RTPRF and you get called for a interview then I can see this processing time being somewhat accurate .. I don't know anyone that's waited that long , unless of course they have to appeal a decision

i know exactly what you mean a day feel like a month and a month feels like a year... And even though my husband sent in his passport we haven't received it back yet and they do request passports at different stages so it could be possible they could have it for months .. Not likely but it does happen .. And it's not realistic for most of us to go and live with them while we wait for the processing to be completed .. Personally I love it there because my husbands there but I get tired of the food after a while and in the summer I can't handle the heat there so I don't do in from mid July - mid September .. Even if I went every month it's still not enough.. And then you don't want to seem like your constantly emailing Kingston to inquire but at the same time there terrible for giving you any specific details and the mail system in Jamaica is so different than canada so I know personally I was always worried that they could have sent something and he Just never received it .. That would be terrible to be refused because you didn't summit something to them but yet you never received the request for it .. My sponsor approval letter was only emailed to me I didn't receive anything in the mail from immigration ... This whole spousal sponsorship process is so stressful and worse when they email us and give us hope when it's just a standard response to everyone inquiry ..

Exactly. I used to come every 4-6 weeks or so. I cant anymore. I was pregnant again, my 5 yr old started school in Canada, my newborn had to have 2 surgeries and then I have my teens to take care of too!
Im still down here in JA now and its hot hot hot. Im sweltering!
But yeah I know what you mean. If I had an estimated time (a proper one, we all know its not going to take 22/23 months), then I could make arrangements a little better rather than not knowing anything and missing out on seeing my hubby for months because I think he miggt get PPR anytime....
It really sucks and hopefully its over soon. I dont think KIN will keep ur hubbys passport too ling. fingers crossed

Every 4 - 6 weeks ??? That must have been costly ShortyP2000,. Plus raising your kids by yourself, must be so darn tough, I admire that though, you're strong!

If we could see each other that often, trust me we would.
Work and school play a big role In why don't see each other often. But my husband has a Multi entry visa and can travel to Canada anytime, so that's been the best part of all this immigration stuff so far. He already has an idea of how its going to be when he lives here.

I actually booked my ticket to Jamaica last week! I haven't been back there in two years cause he's been the one visiting me.
I can't wait to see him !!!

@Paula_T?? Waahh mi could neva tiad of Roadside jerk, Roast fish, fresh coconut water and jelly , June plum, Guinep, Jackfruit, Guava, Fresh Ackee! Woiiii mi cyaa wait!!! :D

yea same I go usually every 5-7 weeks and even though I don't have a hotel to pay for when I go it still does get costly .. During the summer I stay away around 2-2.5 months just because of the heat ... Lol and I get tired of the food cause I'm a vegetarian (except fish ) lmao and u can't find anywhere with salads lmao I found a place once in mobay and ordered a Caesar salad and when it came they had a slice of processed cheese melted on top cause they had no Parmesan cheese lmao ..... Last time when I went the sea was rough for a while so fish wasn't easy to find everyday ... My husband refuses to eat or buy fish there unless it's straight from the sea cause they use embombing fluids in the fish they sell at most supermarkets to preserve them ... And wow 2 years that's a while I would literally be pulling my hair out with fusturation lmao .. @shorty how much longer are you there for ?? I'm planning to go mid September 1-October if my husband doesn't get his passport back by then....

oh i wish my hubby had the TRV! They denied him 3 times, even tho we had a lot of evidence.... but, what can we do about it? Not much.
