godbless..I sent color photocopies of my husbands BC and our marriage cert and was never asked for originals...every IO is different I guess....

helpme... maybe it's possible that they didn't investigate the copies well enought to realize they weren't originals? did you get the copies back with the visa?

good question....what do you get back with the visa? do you get all your photos, original docs etc back?

I got back all my pictures, my original documents and even flight boarding passes and itinerary.

As for the length of time for the visa, it varies. My husband dropped his off on the 11th and then the whole 'Dudus' thing :-X (nuh seh nuttin!) happened so he ended up not getting getting it back until the 27th. But they had stamped it on the 14th.

Lawd a' mercy, never again. The whole process is a how you grow in 'long suffering'. Knowing Jesus makes the difference! He gives you ALL the grace and the strength to get through. Amen & Amen!

my file was transferred to KG on Jun 28/10, no AOR yet but ecas has been updated to "In Process" which says they started processing the application on Aug 4/10

check ecas https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=en

if you haven't used it yet, you have to enter the sponsor's client ID, last name, birth date and Country then log in
