i just have a question...does anybody know how long after going to in process before the end arrives...where passport is requested and returned?
i am having another one of those days where i have been told yet again another friend in our parish has been shot and killed. that would make 6 friends murdered in the last 6 months. i worry about my husbands safety, not that he runs with the wrong crowd, but they pree him, his house, his life...i want him out of there ASAP!!!!

i would just like to know what the others experienced...was it 3 months 1 month...

It can br anywhere from a couple days to months hun. There have been members on here that were "in process" for months....but that is not the normal. It's usually a few days and couple week for PPR and then its usually a couple week for decision to be made and the PP is returned....however sometimes it does take longer. This time of year is pretty fast though.

Anyone interested in taking over the spread sheet? I am going to be very busy the next few weekends and weekends are the only time I really have to sit down and fire up my laptop to update it. Plus with us almost finished this process ( i hope anyways) I feel someone who will still be on here should do it. Don't worry....I am still going to be here but maybe not as much.

Let me know and I will give you access to it

Our file has been in process since April 23rd (but is says April 15th) so we just passed the 5 month mark being in process and still waiting.

Just wondering if anyone else has had to wait on getting notes...Mine were supposed to be here on Sept 19th...1 week late so far...what's the longest anyone has had to wait past the 30 day mark? and what if they don't come...even though they are paid for?

I'm wondering if the request might have gotten lost in the POS shuffle...I hope not

Our notes were due on sept 8th we emailed them and couple days later they replies saying "Thank you for contacting the Access to Information and Privacy Office.

We acknowledge that your request is now overdue. According to our records, your request was due on September 8, 2014.

We have flag your request as priority and the information will be forwarded to you as soon as possible.

We apologize for any inconvenient this situation may cause. " got this on sept 23rd still nothing

Hey chnkymnky, it is more than good news, it means you are near the end my friend! They are working on your file, your status on ecas should change to "in process" soon. It looks like that's what it did for all of us that received additional docs request ;D

Maybe someone who has been here for a while has a better idea for the average but I can tell you that they requested out additional documents and we went in process April 23/24th ( according to ecas we went in process April 15th) and have not heard anything since then. But you never know! Fingers crossed kingston and pos send our spouses home soon!!

HGM was requested to a send in documents last week, they went in process on Monday and got PPR yesterday. So it's different for everyone. Sometimes it's quick other times it's not as you can see from Steen's timeline.

There has actually been a huge delay for notes as many people have been ordering them. There is a thread on here about it. Some have been waiting almost 4 weeks after they have requested them.

No. That just means they have made the decision in you sponsorship approval. It will stay like that until they start working on your file. Then it will show in process.
