Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know that I've been reading.... also waiting for the next big update. Glogirl, JW, Confused, Rosie... and everyone else who's been waiting paitiently. Hang in there, brighter days are ahead!!

Welcome to all the newcomers.

As for us. Hubby and son are settling in well. We are moving next weekend into a bigger place. Every night, I stare at the boxes and say: Pack yourselves!!! LOL. Little man has been going to camp and loves, loves, loves it!! Hubby got a job a couple of weeks ago and just got his first paycheque and he couldn't be happier. Things haven't always been easy, we've had our ups and downs but its 100% better having them here with me. It has been 7 weeks since they've arrived and no PR cards yet. I wonder if there is some backlog b/c CIC is so busy in the summer months.

For those who have interviews coming up: we had 2 interviews during our 23 month filing where I was questioned as the sponsor just as much as the applicant. My advice to you is keep your cool and be confident. Be clear and concise with your responses and don't change your story. If you don't know the answer to a question...say so. Before you know it will be over and you will be that much closer to your PP request.

Maple - Good to see you. My husband just got his PR card last week and he's been here since June 30th so I believe there must be a type of slow down though they do say upto 40 working days before you receive it in the mail.

MAPLE: Happy to hear from you and know that all is well! I've landed since June 24 and haven't received my PR Card as yet so, I'm not stressing about it, I know it'll show up att some point ! Guess there's a backlog or during the summer they're on go slow .

For those who are still waiting, continue to be encouraged, SEPTEMBER should bring many updates and we're claiming and giving thanks to God for those good news that are forth coming. All those who are expecting interviews in the matter of weeks, do like MAPLE said: be yourself and take your time and respond. No one knows your partner and your relationship better than YOU, so BREAK A LEG and I'm praying for all the best!

I have a brilliant idea and I think it may work if put into action.

Since we are all Caribbean ... why don't we gather all of our spouses from KG and POS, hopefully it reaches about 1500 (3x500), jump on a boat and set sail to Canada. I am quite certain the Government will accept us on Cdn soil cuz this seems to be the going thing these days...LOL ....

I am too bored and another forum member raised this idea so I am kinda-sorta stealing it from him cept that he wants his wife to go from Peru to Sri Lanka and then to Canada on a ship... LOL ....

LOL. Confused u made me laugh so hard even though i was feeling a bit down..... Glad to see your mood has lightened. I decided yesterday that i am not going to put too much thought into immigration and what they doing, and why they taking so long, i will focus on the fact that one day, one sweet day i will be in canada with my LOVE.

Jammy (the calm and wise one ) taught me some patience....

Your interview will be fine i am sure, usually its in the instances where we feel we have things under control that life proves us wrong, so in your case it was/is perfectly normal for you to feel nervous or anxious. have a great week!

Good evening Forum

Well students are here and now my work begins....lol. Was a great day meeting most of the new students and I think I have found my dream job...I will keep you posted!!! 8)

Tomorrow marks 3 weeks 3 WEEKS 21 days to go!!!WOW I can't wait but I know it will fly by as I am busy with this new job. AHHH and the thought of this process being over and my life normal again....I will be walking on air!!!!

Nae ...glad to hear hubby is ok... and I know it must be SO hard to be apart when things like this happen. Hopefully KG gets a move on and brings him home to you soon

Maple nice to read things are good for you and your family is adjusting. Thanks for keeping us posted...I hope to do the same once my process is finally over... 8) This forum has helped me so much and I have met some great people here and I often have wondered what I would have done if I had never found everyone here to keep me strong and lift my spirits when needed!!!
