I am not surprised at this at all.... alot of ppl think "money grows on trees" in Foreign... yes we may have access to more oppertunity (education, jobs) etc... but it takes hard work.

Exactly! technically, our economies are the same. We make enough to survive here... because things are more expensive. You couldn't see me taking a 25 minute taxi ride for $1.25 here! lol

I know. I guess this is just linked to yesterday's conversation where it's an impatient process... and Kingston is all like "Hurry up and wait!" lol

I feel worse for him than anything. He's just waiting for his day to quit his job. Since we married, a lot of his co-workers are really mean to him. They try to force him to give them his tips (he's a Teppenyaki Chef) because he's married to a foreign so he doesn't need it. ARE THEY SERIOUS?!

Don't we wish! I would love to have a mattress stuffed with cash... who wouldn't?! And anyone who isn't in a real relationship with someone foreign has no idea what it means to have money trouble. They don't understand that we fight to survive like anywhere else in the world. Crazy. My husband gets very offended when some of the guys he works with brag to each other about how much money their wives or g/f send them every month when they already make more than enough to survive. Then they turn to him and ask him what he gets and he kisses his teeth and tells them that it's #1, none of their business, #2, If they must know, I don't send him anything because he survived before me, why should he beg money to survive while he's with me. Ridiculous I tell you. The nerve of some people.

My husband and I met in Canada so for him to go home was extremely hard. People made fun of him I just told him to remain safe and don't mind them. He signed up for school so I been supporting him 100% I don't mind I have to do what I have to do. It's soon over that's what that matters. He mostly keeps to himself down there.

I'm not opposed to helping one bit. Your man is in school, preparing for Canada life. No harm in that at all! Marriage is a 50/50 thing and though sometimes it's all the way up to 100% on one side or the other... in the end, it all evens out.

I couldn't imagine O&O, having to go back. For him that must have been so hard! I can't wait for the day everything come through for everyone and things finally start to work out!!! <3 <3

Good morning to all,glad to know that there are aleats two wives in Ja waiting ;D that is also on the forum I live in Kingston anyone lives in Kingston. Wof I have tears in my eyes I know what you meant that this can affect your children my kids are smart and during all this process I was hiding stuff from them about there filing reason I wanted them to stay focus in school until the time came,but when I took them to the embassy on the day of the interview I couldn't hide it again cause my little 7yr old once we get there she read out loud and clear Canadian Embassy with smiles she says mum are we going to Canada soon,my reply was very soon hun she asked are going to get the visa now I could only say I hope so baby my son is 14 so he knows whats going on and trust me they ask questions they are anxious too so it does have a big effect on the kids, cause whenever my husband talks to them and he will say he cant wait for them to come and see them soon my big son will its taking soo long. Wof I wish you guys could take to the tv station are the papers can someon arrange for a journalist to do a article about husbands and wives that are been waiting for there filing to Cdn am gonna try to find my friend to see if she could print an article in the sunday gleaner we all have to do something.Another thing that pisses me off how can immigration stay in there offices look at a bunch of papers and assume what is real from what is not why don't they spend there money and get private investigators to follow us, then they can prove our love for each other.

Good news is coming for a lot of people Kingston is working a friend of my husbands was called today for his passport and new police check. Trust and believe in the good Lord pray you will see answers fairly soon. We kept Praying and look we went into process.

Good news is coming for a lot of people Kingston is working a friend of my husbands was called today for his passport and new police check. Well Hubby and I are happy again! finally got to facetime last night and this morning. Makes a huge differences to see one another and not just always on the phone. I am sure my data is high for this month now but worth it. I have him thinking positive now. Picturing himself coming home with me ;D
