Good night ladies,

I am new on this site.. have been reading some previous posts. I am currently waitng on updates re: sponsoring my husband. I started the sponsorship since the end of January 2013, file got transferd to KGN in mid February.... Not knowing when he will get through is starting to drive me crazy... ??? and to make matters worse, you can't call them, and when u e-mail, they just refer u back to the website, that says something like 20 month wait period

Hi everyone!

Just got back from JA, spent one week with hubby for his B'day, it was awesome but it went SO FAST!!!

We had to send some documents to KG (Quebec sponsor's approval and hubby's Quebec selection certificate), so we rent a car, visited some relatives in Spanish Town Sunday and showed up at the High commission office Monday morn. Stayed in the car and waited as there was no parking, to see my man coming back to me with the paper in his hands still! He saids that the security agent wouldn't take them, I was so pissed! Went myself to talk with the man, argued with him and wouldn't hear anything. He saids that we need to come back on Tuesday or Thursday at 1:30pm to remit some papers in person, like no one have work or things to do! Our second option was to send it by DHL for 900 bills an hour later, few blocks away... What a scam!

KG never mentionned such a thing in their email response after two months of waiting... They are truly testing our patience, finance and determination I tell ya. Wanted you to know.

LMAO...I thought about that after everyone was talkin about this "DHL" thing...maybe they will call him when the visa is ready to come pick it up..I dunno I might have to post the question in the main thread

I think they would call him, I know I have never heard of them sending back the passport thru regular mail ever!

Just wanted to drop in and say my condolences to those who are still waiting especially Nevaeha, Maddants and Chickie.

The process is truly messed up... but who knows what plans God has in store.

Wish you guys all the best and I really hope this whole process is over for you soon.

OK here's the next question Now that a decision has been made, but our medicals expire the 29th Of October and I dont know how or when we are getting the PP back...are they going to extend the medicals for another three months so he can land? Geeezuz here comes more grey hair!!!

you wouldn't have decision made without the medicals being extended.......no way!

I use to hear of people getting through in 6-9 months...but from my experience, and from what I read here that seems to be a thing a the past..arrrgh :-X

What's your theory on my hubby's medical being extended for an additional year in February without a decision being made 8 months later? Just curious!

They still do....just nobody recently that is on the forum. We represent a very small amount of the applications being processed in Kingston.

My hubby knows someone that applied in 2013 that got through in five months.

Keep in mind it slows down during the summer months and then add the strike to that...

I am not even going there with you! We already have a bet going on; remember the dog poo! LMAO Your hubby WILL be home by Christmas so don't you even worry about another medical extension!
