Oh my you guys have been chatting up a storm,
Congratulations to all I feel so excited for people when they get the good news I can't even being to understand how overwhelmingly excited you must feel.

So last week before I left to go visit my hubby in Jamaica, I thought I would go and speak with my MP in hopes that she could help us due to our special circumstances with my special needs son (who is becoming increasingly more aggressive). :'(
Well, was I bowled over with her negativity. Basically she told me that due to my husbands exclusion order (1 year ban) they would shelf his application and not even process it because he had broken the rules of immigration and they don't look kindly on this type of thing and that frankly, she supports their decision.
My question is, does anyone know whether this is true or whether she was just standing her platform ground?

Lexi I am so sorry to hear what you had to deal with that MP clearly doesn't know her grounds when it comes to sponsoring your husband. There is many success stories if you look on the spreadsheet there are 2 members that I know of that had exclusion orders Neika and Kerolsgirl. If your application is processed before your exclusion order is up then you will be asked to pay for an ARC of 400cdn. If your application has passed the day in which your exclusion order is up you will not have to pay for an ARC. Or if they ask for you to pay for the ARC and the date in which your exclusion order is up before your passport comes back you will be given back the money.

I am also going through a 1 year exclusion order with my husband. Try and write an email to Kingston addressing your concern about your son see what they can do for you. All the best were all here for you. Blessings

also in response to this.....oneandonly got her RPRF request a few months ago so if what your MP said then they wouldn't have looked at her application until after Nov when her one year ban is up so you can see that what your MP told you isn't true....they don't shelf you application until after a year at all..... sad that our government doesn't even know what is going on.

Hello lexi, your MP sounds like.....well how can I say this nicely....ahem...an idiot. This is very unfortunate as in many cases MPs can be a good resource, but you definitely need to let this one roll off your back. O&O gave you a good response (+1 O&O ) so just ignore the MPs negativity. Chickie is also right, half the time they know much less than the applicants going through the process. You can also order your GCMS notes and see if there is any information in there. Blessings and hang in there.

Thank you Chickie and CdnandTrini I really don't understand how the MP could be so heartless towards her situation. I feel for her son the poor child must be traumatized not being able to see the most important person in he/she life besides mom. My heart goes out to you Lexi.

@ lexi your mp is in all all forms the rear end of a donkey ...that That was totally uncalled for and inappropriate to say the least....not to mention complete and total bs I know a guy from my old neighbourhood who waa deported escorted out of the country by 4 officers ..a few years back long story short he cleaned up his act and was granted back his his citizenship and now is in toronto working with trouble kids....dont let the negativity of others bring u down when god says yes no man can stop that keep positive pray and put it in the lords hands as for your mp...its a pitty that that such an insensitive a$$ holds a postion of public service smfh

Kingston and the MP's need to be held accountable for their actions or lack thereof!!! They are playing with our lives and we pay their salaries!!!!

Welcome back my dear, I know those airport good-byes can be brutal, so I really feel for you. Did we all get married in January? I think I recall seeing many of us post on that month for our weddings. Good that you have a trip back already arranged, it makes the waiting one iota less painful.....well on a good day.

Or maybe, hubby will be here with you to celebrate that blessed anniversary event.......WE CLAIM YOUR VICTORY!!! I am pretty much ready to go and hubby and I are counting down the days......very excited and relieved.....as you can imagine .

well Hopefully Kingston has a restful day and start back to work tomorrow with tons of PPR! We are a week away from our first due date starts on the 28th of this month so we should be hearing from them anytime. that's for his medical and they will be Nov. 3rd and then again Nov. 28th. Come on Kingston!!!
