I know that's what they did in POS she filed in Dec and her hubby just landed. If his medicals expire a few days after his exclusion order is up does he need to redo his medical?

Unless they give him an extension...and if the order is up and he can lad before his medicals expire....but if they are waiting for his ban to be up to send a PPR...it would be cutting it close...I'm not sure WHAT they expect from us..

Sure cuts it close Nov 9 his exclusion order is up and Nov 12 medicals/police check expires that means he would have to land Nov 10 or 11 right?

Hey there am in the same situation too,my application was sent in on Feb,2012 did my medical on July 6 2013,went on a interview on April23,was asked to submit additional documents which I did, that was submitted along with passports on May 10,and last e-mail from them was June 18,stating that they have received the additional documents and that they were satisfied and that they are dealing with application according to how it has been received in the queue and that they have a annual quota to meet and if they need any additional documents they would contact the applicant. My medical has been expired my Representative sent them e-mails also my husband called and sent e-mail frequent and nothing this is my 20mth.

I don't think that would work if Nov 9 is on a sat if he gets back passport on mon nov 11 we could land if he gets his passport back in the morning.

do you know if they gave your hubby an automatic extension..and they might have done that already considering your position...they dont always tell you they extended the medicals..they will extend the medicals for a further 3 months if your that close to the end..thats what other threads are saying anyway.

Oh maybe they did I don't know

my hubby's medicals expire on the 15th of October..wich is tomorrow...I e-mailed them about it and they basically told me to do anything..I even asked if they want me to go ahead a redo all the medicals and they told me not too...so I'm thinking they are extending them..why else would they tell me NOT to redo them ???

hi everyone. I know its been a long time. Trying to settle in. I got married in July and filed to sponsor my spouse. he is here on a visitor visa as planned. We filed all the documents for sponsorship, pr and his open work permit. I just found out it takes 11 months for the open work permit to be granted. he is quite disappointed. He can't work and he isn't happy about that but we both agree its better than if he was in Ja and I was over here! I hope that by some sort of miracle he will at least get the work permit sooner than that. I received an email from cic that they started processing our application on the 30th of august. and they received it on the 6th of august. It takes a significantly shorter period of time to process an application if I had send it to Kingston and he stayed in Ja. But I have read what you all have posted here and I admire your strength and determination, but after waiting forever for my own pr I don't think I could manage to wait again for hubby to reach here. They said if applied for a regular work permit it takes 42 days but he would need an lmo and a job offer and I am having difficulty getting on of those. My dad is gonna try to ask his boss to set us up with one because that was how we were able to come here. he got a job offer and lmo from them. Well keep the faith all of you and congrats Sammy, baby is super sweet!

There is a thread about the extensions of Medicals.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/medical-exam-validity-extension-for-additional-12-months-new-cic-bulletin-t106229.0.html

If they said not to redo them they may have already extended them

Oneandony I would email them and ask if you should redo or if they were extended

Btw. Happy Thanksgiving everyone
