These people in the high commission need to get everything straight. Maybe if they weren't replying to emails that never existed. Then maybe they will have some time to process some of the applications that are sitting on their desk.

I hear ya...and on the other hand they are people e-mailing them OVER and OVER again and get NO response yet I didn't e-mail them again and I got a response WTH? ???

Believe that! Cause I have been waiting since august 8th for a response. My husband also sent something on the 24th of sept. Which we still haven't received a response either.

I have had enough of this waiting around and am planning on moving back to jamaica this winter. I need to stay busy and find a job but have no idea how to do that! Has anyone here done this and what's the best way to find a job there?

Unless you have already applied for your citizenship which takes about a year and costs 300cdn. You will have to get a work permit. Which is usually 1500us per year (the last time I checked)

There is something called splash jobs, or something like that which is much like monster.ca. And LinkedIn also helps.

You can also find someone who will pay you cash However if you are white you are more "visible" as a foregin. I have had a friend of mine work for cash in Jamaica and only because she was white the police walked in looking for a payoff or they were gong to turn her in.

If you find the right employer looking for specific skills you have. They might be willing to pay for your work permit.

Your welcome these people frustrate me they are so SLOW they need to get their rear ends in gear that's for sure. I am on count down my husband only has 3 more weeks till his 1 year ban is up so i'm expecting PPR for him in November sometime.

I dont understand why they just cant send him his PPR and then send it back when his ban is up..it would save a whole lot of time :
