Thanks girl ! I have finally officially joined you guys :-* I don't know what i'd do without all the help you all have given me !! I really hope I did everything properly? How long does it usually take to get any correspondence from them ? when do I get to check E-Cas ? And 1 more thing I paid by visa online and printed my receipt it didn't give me the option to type my name and info on it so I just wrote it in pen is that ok ? I sent them 2 copies 1 with writing on it 1 without !

Congrats on sending in your application.

You won't be able to check ecas until your sponsorship is approved. Once you receive the approval letter it usually takes a few days for you to sign into ecas. As for the receipt I wrote my name on as well and it was okay. As for hearing from them it all depends on how long the waiting time is for sponsorship. You can check this online under the waiting times.

Right now Stage 1 processing is taking 30 days so you will more than likely receive an email from Mississauga in a month approving you as a sponsor. Then they will send your application to Kingston and it takes about two weeks to get there. Then I wouldn't expect to hear anything from Kingston until they require something from you, an interview is requested, or a decision is made.

You can check ecas once you receive sponsorship approval; your UCI # and Application # will be in the email they send you to access your information. You may even be able to check ecas earlier using your receipt # but I never did that so I don't know for sure. You'll be checking that thing every day...sometimes ten times a day!!!! I have been here for over 16 months and it's never changed since I received sponsorship approval. Some people get lucky and will see 'in process' but its hit and miss. Good ol' Kingston!

Yes, it is fine that you wrote your information on the receipt in pen!

Good morning everyone! 1 1/2 days left for some more good news....not sure if we will get much more seeing as we already got news this week but what the heck....Kingston is never consistent so here's HOPING and PRAYING we do! I was looking at the spreadsheet and there are only actually 8 of us left on there from the first half of 2012 so that's pretty good....we are dwindling down slowly but surely.

So I emailed Kingston last week to see if they have received my application. I for an email back saying that they have received it and its already in process. So I don't know how I should take the "in process" remark. I'm not getting excited over it yet however I know that other people have received emails only saying that they have received their application and nothing about it being in process. I guess I will have to just wait and see

@ chickie...no sweetheart nothing as yet....my worm is still whole no nibbles or nothing...lol I did e-mail Kingston on Saturday passed to see what the deal is..no response as yet and not expecting one for a bit so...e-cas still the same Application received, Medical Received, and Interview scheduled..thats it unfortunately...the post office in Jamaica where my husband lives is only open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays...so here's hoping for tomorrow!!!

No matter which way you take it hon, the best thing is that you heard from them and there is no better feeling then that......it makes you feel like you are person and not just a file # to them! Congrats on hearing from them!
