I am wondering how you find out the date on when the application is forwarded to Kingston?
It has been a month today since I received an email that our Sponsorship was approved.

I'm in the same boat as you Greengurl. I received the approval letter on March 28 and I check every day on ecas but still nothing has changed. Fingers crossed they will update us somehow soon.

That is something else though thats too long a wait for the interview date im here waiting too almost a month since they requested my hubbys pp n nothing no changes any at all dont know what kingston up to but surely trying to patient ive sent emails n all r unanswered

yes this is sure crazy.....i never though that i would be waiting so long for this interview date....i just took it out of my mind and say that they are just going to ask me for my passport......my wife been sending them more information to the thru email so i hope that they get everything she sent them.....

i dont think your ecas will tell you when your application has been forward to the kingston office.........you will just have to email them and pray that they answer you

Very sad thank goodness RCMP caught the 2 guys one from toronto and one from Montreal and arrested them before this took place. A lot if innocent people riding the via rail would of lost their lives. We also had a bank robbery shooting yesterday in toronto. A man customer shot and a female bank teller shot. I don't know what this world is coming to so sickening.

that is good that they caught those ppl for sure.....right now is survival of the fittest, only the strong will survive until them dead......we are living in a very cruel world right now and only good can fix it.....when you look at it ppl have to die for ppl have to live....most of these ppl dont think they can die that why they are doing what they doing....that is just my opinion though

Yes I am on a TRV but I have had one since 2004 so been coming to Canada for a while. As well I applied for an extension to stay and they gave me 2 years since I'm here with hubby I guess so that's a good reason while I await PR. SO when I put in application last Nov, I already had a TRV for 8 years. Trust that shed some light.

I think most times a TRV will be denied if you are already applying for the family sponsorship but I can't say that it can't happen because one of our members Tamarind is up in Canada on a TRV but I am unsure if she was already there when they applied or not. Hopefully she can shed some light on that for you. Any of the other girls that have tried were denied because they already had an application in process.

Hello again...

Thought of a few more questions.

Have any of u recently applied for a visitors visa in Kingston?
would love it if my guy could come visit before we get married but
from what I've heard it can be very difficult to get the TRV.

If we do decide to apply, is it better to say he is visiting me as a friend? A boyfriend? Or a fiancé?
Don't really want to lie.... But wondering what the best chance for success is?

He is 27 years old. Never married. No kids. No house or property. No car.
Works full time as a computer programmer in Jamaica for a US based company.
He went to the US in 2008 on a single entry visitors visa, and then again in
2009 on a student visa (went to college there for 3 years).

Anyone have any guesses/insight on what his chances might be? Do u think it's worth the hassle and the money to try?

since he has travel already and return to the island that will show he will return from Canada on a visitor visa. so just go on the site and fill out the form that's needed and try don't see why he wouldn't get it,all they want is a reason for him to come back.
