Hi Chickie72! Thanks for the information, it was very helpful! Frustrating that Kingston is so inconsistent when processing applications!!chickie72 said:good afternoon. Once your application gets to Kingston they are supposed to send you an AOR also to let u know that it is there, but I have been here over a year and no one has ever gotten one. My suggestion would be to send them an email in about a month and just ask what the status is on your application and if they received it. They may answer and they may not, it is really hit and miss sometimes..if they don't answer, then send another one a week later and so on. Basically once your application gets down there, it sits in line to be reviewed and assigned to an officer. When the officer starts to process it you should get a change on your ECAS on the principal applicant's side to say that it is in process......this is hit and miss also. Some peoples don't go into process for awhile and then they next week they get a PPR. When the officer finally looks at the application they will go over it to determine your genuineness of your relationship, etc and if they need more info they will ask for it or they may at this time ask for an interview. Once again, been here over a year and only 2 people have gotten interview requests. After they are done the eligibility they will move onto the criminality and security part of your application and after that it is PPR request. Kingston is very hard to pin down on how long it takes, some people get thru faster then others and there is no rhyme nor reason to it.....we all just go with the flow and hope it is one of us sooner then later hahahaha Hope that helps!
Also, I checked my ECAS and it now shows Medicals Received so would that be CIC or the Kingston office?
Thanks!
