Oh, it looks to me like the chart is reflecting that 20% of cases are completed in 6 months, 30% in 7 months, 50% in 10, 70% in 14 and 80% in 16. CIC's timeline for Jamaica shows 16 months (which is the majority - 80%)

I found more information from the site that has it updated to march 31, 2012 and it says 80% in 22 months now!

And also when they say case refused for Kingston, what are some of the reasons for refusing? would it be criminal convictions, false marriage, medical problems etc..?

I think it can be either one of those things mentioned, including not believing that the relationship is genuine, but I believe it's to the discretioin of the VO. I have heard of persons with past criminal activity that still received PR...

Im not feeling this topic right now lol...but am also curious about the refusal...

no one could tell me my marriage isnt legit or genuine except for who a stranger??

LADIES, I FOUND THIS POSTED ON ANOTHER FORUM PAGE AND WANTED TO SHARE..COULD SHED SOME INSIGHT. IT'S INFO. FROM SOMEONE'S GCMS NOTES, THEY APPLIED IN JANUARY 2012...



A li'l update:

I just got our GCMS notes today, July 25 2012. I sent the request on June 26, 2012.

Doesn't really contain much except that I confirmed that they received my hubby's passport the day after he sent it. Eligibility, security and criminality assessment not started.

What's exciting is the last four pages under NOTES where you can see the "flow" of the process so far, and I'm also glad to see initial screening has been done even if ecas still says "appliaction received".
Also, GCMS were generated on June 28, so nice to know that there is a possibility that this is not the most updated status of our application.

Here it is , just to share:

4/25/12 File number created

4/26/12 Welfare check req'd for sponsor. CSCD to be entered upon receipt of results

5/1/12 welfare check rec'd, no records. All other eligibility reqmts are met. Eligibility Decision emailed to sponsor

5/9/12 File received in Manila fropm CPC by Fedex on May 8 2012. AOR/ DOC Request sent. Medical review passed. File referred to PA review team for Initial Screening Review.

5/24/12 DOCS RCVD 18May2012. Ppt & ppt photo x PA (details checked)- Appendix A

6/13/12 Electronic Record Check Results: No FOSS Hit. No Previous Record in CAIPS that is not refelcted in FOSS. No prior GCMS record

6/13/12 INITIAL SCREENING: ........... SPONSOR: PR (xxxx/xx/xx) SW1-DEP. See Bxxxxxxxxxx - Previous sponsorships / relationships / children declared: none. APPLICANT: Identity documents acceptable, no previous marriages and common law partner declared, no dependents, Married on ___ at _____- NSO marriage certificate (original) registered on time, cohabitation xx/xx/xx to xx/xx/xx , relationship docs submitted, on file observations- docs appear sufficient to support relationship. Primary Applicant and SPR met on _____ at _______. SPR was working as ______, PA introduced himself and was able to get SPR's number. Started dating and have met each other's family. Almost same age and have same religious beliefs, marriage attended by both families. BACKGROUND: FOSS and GCMS checks done, no adverse info- Overseas travel - none. Previous records- none. Police certificate/s: NBI issued 19Dec2011- NO RECORD ON FILE. Appears Interview waiver may be warranted.


looks like everything seems fine so far.. now all we have to do is pray pray and wait wait some more....

i have a question i signed in to the cic website and now instead of saying application recieved it now says in process .... i dont want to get my hopes up but does this mean that kgn has finally started working on our application?

is it your husbands ecas that shows in process , does it also show on yours too?

i lived common law with my x for yearssssssss!!


but winter of 2007 is when i declared it with CRA that it was quits....

i also included the fact that YES i was in a common law, but never married...only thing i could provide for proof was income tax return.

i included my babyfather's phone number, and my former mother in law lmao and said call em up and see.

Im not sure, not like when we split up with got official documentation, only thing that changed were how we filed out taxes.

Hope this wont cause a huge interference....

common law is only important for the sake of government taxes, imo - it does not count as being married...i gave them a detailed explanation, i hope that will suffice.

on my husbands IT says in process on mine nothing has changed
I am soo happy right now but i don't want to get my hopes up too far
i am going home for the long weekend in october for 5 days
would love to be able to take them home with me but i wont hold my breath
another question ..... i see infromation about my husband but nothing about my step daughter in the system is it because he is the main applicant or should there also be a file under her name as well ?

I am guessing that she would be under him and as they go through your file even more then she may be added. but right now he is the principal applicant and she cant get str8 without him. Just my guess!

lol your kidding me the consider age difference ....thats ridiculous my husband is 3 years younger than me ......hells no who is anyone to refuse someones application because of the age difference love dont know age :
