Same charge on Air Canada. I arrived with 2 bags at/around 50lbs, my carry-on at 21lbs and my laptop bag which probably weighed in at another 15lbs. Only extra I paid was the $20 for the second checked bag. Totally worth it.

Well that shows you that I don't book a lot of Canadian airlines anymore here at work....all US stuff.

Looks like they changed it. Last time I flew them it was only 1 checked bag no extra....now I know for the 2 day trip that I can bring wedding stuff down and pay the extra 20.00. Cheaper then sending a barrel of stuff

So I guess an update is in order for me. It's been a couple weeks since I've been on here

I moved back to Brampton from Halifax 2 weeks ago as my Dad was sick. He passed away last week and I am happy that I was able to spend time with him. The day before he passed away he spoke to me about my fiance. It was so nice knowing that since he wasn't all with it he remembered my man. It made me cry. I am just sorry that my father won't be able to meet him. On a good note though...my Mother will be able to make the wedding Novembmer now. She is looking forward too it.

Wedding plans are now done and I am looking forward to it. Heading down for 2 days in september because I can't wait till Novembmer to see him.

That's all about it on my side

Congrats to everyone who's had good news

Come on KG and give out some more

One Love

Medical results are sent to a Regional Medical Office, where they are evaluated. They are then uploaded and become available to the offices on request.

oK so this would be why my ecas has not updated to medicals received. My meds were in the system from December but they didnt receive my application til march 26th. So now I am wondering if Kingston will request medicals from system or will they request that hubby does them again?

Would they know to look in the system to see meds there from December?

Kingston will request them. He will not need to re-do them unless your processing goes past December this year. As long as the IMM1017 form from the doctor is on the application, they know a valid medical is on file.

My eCAS never said medicals received, it was only noted on my GCMS notes that a valid one was on file with the application, and later on that I needed to submit a new one for visa to be issued.

I don't remember having a form for the medicals with the application. I remember him carrying a form to the doctor and the doctor's office told us to pay the DHL bill and they send it off. This is where I had the mix up because they lady convinced me that she can send the application too in the same package (as she did many times before for others who applied) which we did and my application ended up in the Bermuda triangle or on one canoe headed no where. It took me from December 8th when it was signed for in TRINIDAD until march 21st to get it back... (actually started looking in January).

So I am not sure about this IMM1017 form... Was I to include this? If so, I don't think I did..
When I was talking to the million ppl from each of the offices, the lady at Trinidad's VO said they received them but that was it..

So how do I figure this one out????

:-[

Omg!!!!! My hubby didn't include it in the application. What do I do now! Do I send it off now with my application number and file number to Kingston or cic-Ottawa?

Sh-t!!!!!!!!!! (excuse my french!)

Also if I do have to send to Kingston, can I send additional information/proof along with this form?

CharlieD (mother of us all here) can you help please? ::)

YES YOU CAN :)SEND IT TO KGN NOT OTTAWA AS UR FILE HAS NOW BEEN TRANSFERRED THERE...

Sorry for the caps,,,

K just reread everything... form IMM1017 is the one that you should fill out and take with you to the DMP's office and they should have given your husband a certificate with his photo on it, that your husband was to sign, and THAT is what you are to mail in with your app...
If this is what you did not send in, then you should mail it in to Kingston right away and yes you can include additional info to update your file if you choose to.

OK, so the form that your hubby took to the doctor would have been the Appendix C from the Regional Guide. On completing the examination, the DMP would have given him a smaller green/white form with his photo on it, as mentioned by Jamgirl, which the doctor would have signed and stamped with a maple-leaf stamp with his DMP number on it. THAT green/white form is the IMM1017. This should have been attached to the application, as it is required by the document checklist.

I see from the last update list that you already received sponsor approval and your file has been transferred to KG, which means that you likely did attach the medical form to the application. Otherwise, your application would have been returned to you, because proof of valid medicals is an essential component of a family class application. CPC-M usually sends back applications if something is wrong with the medical (AliCat had hers returned because the first medical they did was expired by the time the application reached CPC-M).

However, IF you still have the IMM1017 for some reason, get it ready with the package of additional documents and send it to KG, ASAP. Don't wait for them to ask hubby for it. Make sure you include a cover letter showing you have it in the package.

Thanks Charlie, for covering my butt lol
