I agree 100% with this. If we don't support and build one another up then who will. Alot of times instead of husbands and wives helping each they tear each other down and then wondr why thier marriages don't last.

Thanks JG. This is my second marriage and I'm not 40 yet. I've learned a lot about the male/female dynamic from my past relationships. I also realize that the degree to which black woman respect one another also determines the progression of black marriages. I wish we would learn to run men who are married and trying to pick us up and tell him to go home to his wife and learn to love and respect her. After all, we would really love it if another sista stood up for us if we were faced with the same circumstances. I believe strongly that the key to our race moving forward starts with the 'first mothers'...us 8)

We are the nurturers...the steam that makes the engine run ;D

good morning famjam

hoping that someone could help me out with a question here!!!
A co worker of mine told me that when you come to canada as perminet resident you have to wait for a year before you can return home .... i am curious is there any such law .... i am asking because my family has a reuion planned for next May Grannys 85th birthday and the same weekend my step sister will be getting married so i have to be there and i want to make sure there will be nothing that stands in the way if by the grace of God hubby and step daughter have been approved and are here

This is not true. Hubby got his PR card and we were in JA about 2 mnths later having the time of our lives He will need to have his PR card in hand though along with PP.

Another day forum family, and my status has remained the same on eCas. I sent in for the GCMS notes, still no response, but I recognize it might be early. Hubby and I haven't seen each other since July 3rd, we're itching again, and starting to plan our next rendez-vous which will probably be the August long week-end.
