Yes it is true, the person that called him did confirm she is the one working on his file. the process is not even finish and i' m loosing it.As for ecas its still not in process.. Maybe its only the background check there doing now...all i kmow is wednesday it says medical received and today they called him for more info.... guys kingston is not joking at all

I agree with you Canuck. Jamaica is all my husband knows, and now that we are coming to the end of this journey. I am giving him time 2 choose the date of when he wants to leave if he isn't given time to leave. Its in his hands.

Cause basically he is going to start a completely new life.

YES YES YES I know yu are all right, but, I am a jcan too, I had to leave and I been thru it, so I kno, I just feel men are on a different tip. I wasnt so excited for him to come either, I prefer Jamaica, cant stand Canada, and even though I migrated I have spent much of my time back n forth. And trust me he has spent more than time with me, however I do know he will be starting a new life, therefore, I am not touching on the subject until he gets back the visa n ready to tell me whats next. I know you guys are all giving me the right talk but, I have my own aggravation with my husbands ways, that being said I luvs him just di way him is LOL..

I cant believe the movement in KG I am so impressed and so happy for everyone, now I am curious how fast the embassy send back the visas....lol did they speed up to slow down, or yu guys thinking they gonna come back quick quick quick! I would faint if my husband got it back by 1st of month, literally faint!

Oh...afternoon, everyone!

Canuck, real talk on what it means to be the person leaving! Last night my husband and I were on the phone and discussing how far we are in the process and what to expect as things move on. He kept asking me, "What else are you going to miss?" and I got the feeling he was making mental notes. At one point, I laughingly said, now that there is progress, I am thinking, "Wait, slow down!" because thinking of all that needs to be done and by when almost overwhelms me right now. I finally got around to making a list of all the to-do lists I need to make, haha!

Well, it's been one long and trying week for me, but it's weekend, so it's time to slow it down! Enjoy whatever you plan to do! KG, total gratitude going out to you for a great week in the family reunion business.

Or, when he says that, you can insist he answer the question even if that is his opinion. And when reality hits him and he is homesick like never before in his life, and you do something special that helps to assuage the feelings, he will be grateful and you will not even have to say "I told you so" to feel superior.

Men are men, and they think they are superior to "feelings", and that is why lots of men are caught off-guard by emotionally-challenging times and have difficulty dealing with their own emotions. I told my husband how much I suffered feelings of displacement when I moved to NY, and what things helped me regain confidence and get comfortable in my new surroundings, and he has been making note for this upcoming move. Let your husband call you a poppy-show if he wants to, you will still be equipped to help him ride the roller-coaster he has no idea he is about to get on.

I know what I am getting into, been there and done that, have the t-shirt. Yet I suffer no illusions that I will somehow breeze through this move to Canada and have no homesickness issues, simply because I have migrated before. I am preparing myself to deal with homesickness, and if your husband isn't preparing himself, you need to prepare yourself.

Is there a handbook I feel I may need literature on this, my husband is not good with emotions. It's ok, he will be fine and if he's not at least he is free to move about.
