Hello,

Just received fingerprint request for both of my applicaitons from Vancouver office.

Can someone please guide for the fastest way to get these done. Local police or through private agencies?

Do they send them directly?

What is the process or timeline after this?

TIA

I got them requested from Vancouver on Aug 23rd and I took them on the 26th, they haven’t received yet & still BG on progress.

@hssrp told me that they are slow and takes 4-5 weeks. Hopefully I get news this or next week.

Did you go through private agency or directly through local police station. I wonder if one method is faster then then other.

I went to the nearest agent listed in RCMP website. Police station near me had an appointment system which is booked and delayed.
FP received by IRCC and tracker updated in a month.

How it was , how long , hard or soft? I have our interview coming in two weeks
It was very quick, not even last 2 mins. Officer asked me to show PR card and second piece of ID on the screen. Asked me my mailing address and how long i have been living to this address. my latest trip outside of Canada. Thats it.

Hi guys and @hssrp

Thanks for great insights here. I am new here and here is my timeline -

Type: Online application
Location: Quebec city
Physical Presence Days: 1096 (6 trips abroad)
Application: Single/Family(number of family members) : Single
Application sent: June 28th
Delivered: June 28th
AOR: July 15th
Test invite: Aug 28th (MTL office)
Background: Sept 3rd
Test window: Sept 6th - Oct 6th
Test completed : Sept 6th
Test updated on tracker: Sept. 9th
LPP: Sept 19th (updated on tracker on 21st)
Citizenship Ceremony: In-progress

I still haven't received any oath letter or email after this from Montreal office. I see SCR office has already sent out oath letters for those with LPP completed last week. I am worried about my application as I have a trip next month and wanted to complete oath asap. Is this delay normal?

Also, any idea on what I should ask exactly from the IRCC agent on my application delay?

Thanks in advance!
Added to the spreadsheet.

This delay is pretty normal as IRCC takes between 1 week to 2 months to schedule oath after completing LPP depending upon the office and officer. Your LPP completed less than a week back.

No difference in speed in either method as the private agencies transfer the prints to RCMP electronically, instantly. Local police does the same as well, feeding it to the RCMP system instantly.

In my case the update to complete the LPP was made in August 28th and updated in August 30th, since that date still waiting for the Oath.

Hello, Planning to submit the application very soon. I have a question on the online form. I lived in Canada straight for 1098 days but was in another country for the last 8 years before that and never came back until 2021. I was a PR since year 2005. In this case, how to fill the 5-year eligibility on “date you left Canada”? Should I put the date 8 years ago or date in 5-year eligibility (which is from 2019 till Sep 2021). Very appreciate if you guys can help :)
