Yes, it's normal.

A new line will be added when the oath email is sent out. This could be after the new tracker gets updated with the date, so that's likely the first place you'll see anything. Then, once the certificate is mailed after the ceremony eCAS will show a status of complete and there will be a final update. For reference his is what mine says:

Citizenship
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on June 3, 2021.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on September 15, 2021.
  3. We started processing your application on October 28, 2021.
  4. We sent you a notice on June 7, 2022 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on June 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
  5. You became a Canadian citizen on June 14, 2022.

Hope you get an oath date soon. Sorry I got your hopes up.
No please don’t apologize I really appreciate your help and look forward to becoming a citizen soon as well!

My tracker still hasn’t changed to citizenship ceremony started. Everything else was updated on June 9th I’m starting to get worried. There was one guy on here who said they called him for an interview after decision made and all items complete this wait is making me paranoid
Mine is the same, everything completed on June 2nd, but the ceremony has not started :( which office is yours?

Thank you and did you use digital signature to add in your oath in responding?
I printed first then signed. I only did so because I have a printer/scanner that I rarely use lol. Whichever method you use simply make sure you have followed all the directions correctly. Good luck!

For online applicants, at what point can we tell that our citizenship certificate has been mailed out? I had my oath yesterday and want get my passport asap. My application had an update today showing that my citizenship ceremony was complete on June 15. Just not sure how I can confirm when my citizenship certificate has been mailed.

Did you eventually write them an email? I am also from Toronto and processed by Scarborough office, applied around the same time - stuck at FP received stage for over three months.

How trips you have during your eligibility time?

I had one trip in last 5 years. That to be less than 10 days. IRCC took one month to give me the security clearance after receiving my FP.
I'm not sure why would that matter? Isn't it why we attach the presence calculation result after all?
Also, of all institutions, IRCC should have the easiest access to CBSA databases to verify all enters and exits. The same concerning other sources of information, such as CRA. One would think electronic application has an advantage over the paper one in the form of a decent IT system connected with other agencies. Otherwise - what's the point..? Only to track "progress" and send out invitations? Pathetic.

BTW, what do you mean by "security clearance"? Is your Background check marked as Complete in the tracker?

Its not the physical presence I am talking about during trips. After you submit your FP, if no record found you get the ‘criminality passed’. Sometimes they do the security clearance with CSIS before clearing Background check. As per my understanding they check if any other security issues concerning us, overseas, like war crime or other criminal activities outside Canada.

They received mine FP on 27 April, 2022. No criminal records found. Then they ordered ‘Security clearance‘. That took a month. On 27 May, 2022 I got by Background Check completed.

It is so random and impossible to determine for applicants to determine who will get FP or not and who ends up being in the time consuming security screening.. In my case I got FP request in March and BGC was completed n Apr(about 5 weeks)... During the eligibility period I have travelled outside of Canada 12 times..to countries such as Germany, US, Saudi, UAE and India
During the PR application time I was in security screening for 8 months...
