June 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

That is my conclusion too: there is no logic or consistency to it at all. Coming from IT background, I could imagine how simple this is to confirm all application details versus other agencies' databases: CBSA, RCMP, CRA, language test centre, etc. That could even happen automatically in parts!

Yet after receiving my FP in early March (confirmed by RCMP), nothing has happened. I don't see literally anything particular about my case that would require any extra steps on the way..

I know, its so random that it’s frustrating.

No update on oath ceremony yet. Hopefully it will be soon.

As an IT person myself, there's a lot of factors in the data we don't know, but I'm certain the government likes it that way. As an American, I already had NEXUS, which means I went through a background check on both sides. I wasn't asked for a FP, and I assume being a NEXUS holder was the reason. Who really knows though...could come down to a case officer.

We may have been in the same ceremony, as I have the same timelines. Oath on the 14th, updated to completed by 6AM the 15th. (shouting to the clouds) I wish the folks maintaining the Google sheet would add more data points, especially around the post Oath dates....e.g. when the system shows your case is closed, cert received, passport apply date, passport received date..... would be a real nice benefit to this helpful community (hint hint :) ).

Hi guys,

My application is currently being processed, prohibitions, physical presence, and language skills passed yesterday.

I can see that on Citizenship application tracker (https://cst-ssc.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login)

but when I try to use the older system (what some people seem to be calling eCAS) (https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do)

I do not see any result. Is this normal? I am a bit confused.

Would appreciate if someone could explain the difference?
