Share your timeline, please?
If you’ve done biometrics, medical, then next step is your back ground/eligibility check.
There’s nothing you need to do. You’d better check ECAS status frequently.
When they start processing your file, ECAS will tell you.
Actually I'd say checking ecas frequently will just be frustrating. Check once in a while. The next steps are mostly email which could be months yet.

I know what you mean, but "We stated processing your file~~~" line suddenly emerged in ECAS without email or anything in my case haha.

You may have to call them or hear from others who submitted through that company.
Did a little bit of digging as its tough to get them on calls. Turns out there is a bit of process involved if you are dealing with Canada Visa Centre in New York, US. The process is carried out by another providers - VFS Global. Here's the link to proceed for folks who may have to go through Canada Visa Centre NY US for submitting their passport and other documents once they receive the PPR request.

BTW got my COPR confirmation today. Looking forward to be with my wife and kid. :)

Hi Tife,
I got that one about a month ago, and seems clear that it's not an indication that the application is approved, has a positive outlook, or anything of the sort. As a matter of fact we just got a request for further documents this week. Police checks from countries where I had lived before (not requested in the "checklist") and that's going to be a bit of a pain and a lot of an investment. But hey. I guess if you are Canadian you better marry someone who hasn't moved around much, or be ready to pay some big bucks.

Hello PandP, i also got request that was January asking me to submit police checks from the country i lived before i left, which i have sent since February and they have received it. I really understand you it’s really a bit of a pain and a lot of investment.

Has anyone heard from Dar es Salaam visa office lately or know how long the background checks are taking these days?? Biometrics have been done, medical passed on June 9th and gc key shows the background check is in process. The one year mark passed on June 8th and I am so anxious about what is next
