Received my GCMS notes today exactly 30 days after I requested them.

Assessments
Knowledge: Not Started
Residence: Not Started
Language: Not Started
Prohibition: Not Started
Security: <Blank>
Criminality: Passed
Oath: Not Started

Kitchener office in it's unsurprisingly typical fashion is slow.
On the bright side, criminality passed so no FP needed! (RCMP screening came back clean)

Looking at the notes I had some questions, wondering if you guys would have any insight:
1. Even though at the top under assessments it says Prohibition is Not Started, under the ELIGIBILITY PROHIBITION section, there is an entry that says Type: Grant Adult, Status: Completed. From what I found online, it looks like this is normal, but does anyone know what the Prohibition eligibility is and what it takes for it to be passed? - Mine also same status
2. Under PAPER FILE, PAPER FILE HISTORY and PAPER FILE TRANSFER, the latest entries say the location is In Transit and the Office is CPC Sydney. Does this mean the file is on it's way from Sydney to the secondary/local IRCC office (Kitchener)? Or is the file already sent to them electronically and now the paper file is enroute to storage? And then does this mean my local office hasn't received it yet and that's why none of the eligibility has started yet? The transfer does say 'eligibility' under 'transfer reason' and the type is 'Paper file & app'. It doesn't say a "to" location in any of the transfer entries but at the very beginning of the notes it does mention that my secondary office is Kitchener IRCC. - If it says transit, file yet to receive Kitchener office. In my GCMS notes, file received by the local visa office, and it was stated as Transfer outcome: Received
3. Under the HISTORY section, I have 10 full pages that are redacted/blank with a note preceding them saying "The following pages have been redacted pursuant to S. 12(1) of the Privacy Act". Is this because it contains information from past/other applications or other people's names/information? I know they redact certain sections (for example, the security clearance section for CSIS is all redacted minus my personal information), but this is entire pages and there's 10! - I do not see in my notes

CSIS - Blank

Hello,

my sister was at commissinaire for Fingerprint test for Citizenship, when we received the letter from IRCC, they told us to included the Citizenship file number in the fingerprint test,
the page given to us by Commisinaire does not include the Citizenship Application number,
so, will we have to do another fingerprint and sent it to IRCC,
Is it fine, if we have done fingerprint test from Commissnaire?
thanks,

Hi,
They sent the request with application number and client ID. You need to take that to the FP agency so they can put the same in your FP request to RCMP along with IRCC address. And Yes you can do it in advance, but then RCMP will send you the clearance certificate on your home address instead of sending this directly to IRCC. You can submit that to IRCC when requested through courier along with client ID and application number.
And they are not specifying any agency, you have to choose yourself from the list.
Thank you so much.

Classic Example of bad luck! Submitted application in June 2020 in Saskatchewan and it didn’t move an inch for months! Moved to Alberta for a job opportunity, changed address and now Saskatchewan has started inviting people for tests for June 2020. So disappointed when think of my unwise move.

There aren’t that many people from SK being invited for testing for you to say it’s “bad luck”. If anything I’d say you’re likely to get invited faster in AB than SK since AB has a much larger IRCC staffing than SK do. Did you move to Calgary or Edmonton ?

I got an email.

Also for Toronto based applicants:

Please don't send a criminal background check using Toronto police. A couple of days after CIC Vancouver received the report (I sent through Canada post) I got another email saying the report is not what was requested. Seems like they specifically want the electronic fingerprints irrespective of whether your police report gives the all clear.

I'm going to an agency today as requested by CIC. They charge 65 bucks which is outrageous considering I just paid 630 for a citizenship application. The govt treats us like fucking cash cows which is disgusting but I guess there is no choice. I work in the tech industry and the money is not the problem it's the principle which I find revolting.

The only positive thing I would say is that it seems as if CIC is quick to acknowledge paper work sent to them so they are responsive. It means the paperwork is usually in good hands and is less likely to be lost in the bundle.
