June 2020 - Citizenship Application

I am just reaching 28 months time since my application was received by IRCC back in June 2020. It has been more than 10 months after I cleared my test. My background check expired 5 months after the test. My second background check has been stuck for several months now. I had a 2nd FP request back in August. I applied for GCMS notes back in May 2022 and have not yet received them. I have submitted several follow up requests on the notes but have heard nothing back. I have sent a post to privacy officer as well and have now also lodged an official complaint to Privacy Commissioner of Canada but have not heard back any thing. Separately I have written to RCMP on the status of my background check but they too have not responded. I have also written to my MP office but they are also not responding. I have now submitted a webform for an update.

Yeah, we are in the same boat. We did our tests back in Nov 2021, no updates since then

citizentest21@Jack2406 . I got my background verification completed on the onlien portal. What's next step please ? When I can expect test invite.

Apparently I have a Non-routine application, whatever that means. I applied June 18th 2020 and still no response. Citizenship test completed July 29th. Is anyone in a similar situation ?

Mine too. File only moved after I got back in Canada. I was given CIT 0520 last week.

No, they don’t! The only reason I can think of is that I missed a 3 week trip in my physical présence calculator.. I was still 6 months over the minimum requirement though.

there's plenty on free practice tests online just google it and do as many as you can (you'll realize the questions are somewhat repetitive)

Thnaks. I gave the test. And I got 18/20. I am trying to check the portal but it keeps on saying
Loading... / Chargement...


Anyone else is facingg same problems ?


What are the next steps please ?
