Good to know AORs being rolled out to June applicant. Mine was delivered on June 1st via Express CanadaPost but haven't get any notification from CIC.

Hi,

Got a question if my application is rejected, would I receive any notice from email or I have to wait the regular mail from IRCC?

My application was delivered on June 1st, and haven't received AOR yet, feeling worry about it.

My online status is now application recieved but they have my India home address as the mailing address not the current Canada home address. I need to just have the current home address same as the current mailing address for which the online system needs me to update the current home address, though it will not change. Weird problem.
Does the change of address increase processing time?

Change of mailing address does not affect processing time. If you update the home address to the same one that's already there, that also doesn't affect processing time. AFAIK it would only if you were moving somewhere that would require them to change your local office or something of the like.

Hi Everyone,

For the purpose of updating the spreadsheet - I am not sure what in process ECAS means.

I did check my profile online this morning and the details are correct. https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do

Does this mean I am 'in process' (for the google spreadsheet tracker)?

This is when IRCC says they have started processing your application. It will look like this:
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on June 1, 2020.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 6, 2020.
  3. We started processing your application on M DD, YYYY.
So it's when you have this third line that appears on eCAS.

I just Check my Ecas and it says
  1. My Canada Address. -------
  2. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on June 1, 2020
  3. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 5, 2020

Oh, it seems the format is a little different from what I saw others report then. Nonetheless, when your application goes in process, there should be a line that says so.

Quick question, when IRCC sends the application back as “returned due to incompleteness etc, do they send in tiny envelope or A3 size or bigger envelope?. Thanks

I believe it is bigger letter size envelope

Hello Everyone!

I received my AOR yesterday and was able to check app status on Ecas. When I logged into my application, the first thing it shows up is your current home address and mailing address before you continue further to see the status. When I filled out the application, I entered my home address followed by a check mark on a box for Mailing address to be same as home address. So I did not enter any info for mailing address.

As per Ecas it showed my home address to be correct while the mailing address showed was the one that I had entered for my PR application in 2016. Since then I have changed couple of addresses but never mentioned that old address in citizenship application.

Had I missed filling out the application properly I guess they would have returned my application to my old address without my knowledge!

For those applicants from March and April who haven’t received AOR, I suggest to check your old address incase application was returned.

Not sure why Cic would do that but I was able to update the mailing address via Ecas and was informed that it may take 15 days for the change to appear.
