Hi, my status was changed to decision made December 20, and then I got nothing until today that I see my application has updated but nothing has happened; Oath ceremony still "not started".
Does anyone know what this "ghost update" means? Is it a good thing hopefully?

Yes, for some people it was a sign of an update coming in the next few days.
But can't guarantee anything.

Moving once takes about 3 months and as you said your file is moved again it definitely has accumulated some delay!

note; three months is from my ATIPs and i moved just 500km away from the previous IRCC office!

but after my second move, i got all the updates like LANGUAGE, BG ETC..so i am pretty sure they do have my file updated. let see.

My decision made on ECAS on Jan 5, 2022 so let's see what comes next for us. Hope for the best.

my ECAS showed decision made in December, but now it has gone back to "in progress"

You are supposed to send the request under the Privacy Act (free), not the Access to Information Act ($5).

The first one that I did in Aug 2021 was Privacy Act and I got no replay whatsoever. The one I did in Jan 2022 was Access to Information Act.

Not sure if the IRCC is not replaying any ATIP request or if it's something just with me.

Today my application got updated again, ECAS is back to decision made. But nothing has really happened. On the tracker everything is the same. Ceremony is still not started.

With my application taking years, I am now thinking I may have to renew my PR.
Anyone know what are the current delays to renew a PR card ?
Mine is expiring by the end of the year but I want to be prepared.

Read somewhere of people getting their PR cards at least two months after application. If you are planning to travel outside of Canada, then you need to renew your card. Otherwise, you can forgo renewing it.

I and my family's PR cards have expired last year without renewing thinking that we'd be getting the citizenship soon. Unfortunately, just like a lot of 2020 applicants, ours is still in progress after taking the test in July last year. We're not travelling outside anyway, so we're leaving it as is. The waiting game continues.....

does your ghost update coincide with when your background verification was completed? I 2 ghost updates this week. I thought it had to do with finally this whole thing coming to an end, but was then disappointed because I think it was just because I hit the 1-year mark from when my background verification was completed and they had to update something (hopefully not redoing the background verification, lol). So frustrating!

so everything shows COMPLETED except citizenship ceremony, it just got updated feb 16th, does that mean they could be sending me a ceremony email soon or am I just kidding myself?

It could happen anytime, from 1 month to .... 6 months ?
