Just out of curiosity, I called an agent today :( - She said My eligibility passed, criminality completed, security hasn't initiated yet.. I am not understanding the process anymore as it has been at this stage for 2 months now.. WHY????
Yeah I want to know why as well. Mine has no progress since October.

Did you receive any GU before the call and was your criminality passed?

Same response for me, tired of it.. security hasn’t started every time I call past two months

Q1 - No, doesn't seem like. You can check if her biometrics is still valid here: https://onlineservices-servicesenligne.cic.gc.ca/extapp/bioStatusQuery

Q2 - Background = Security + Criminality. Since you said both are passed, I believe it is complete. To be a 100% sure, you could call them again.

Q3 - Because it's about to expire soon.

Q4 - If you pass medical/security/etc. - It means both of you passed and not one person.

Did you give biometrics for work permit previously? I assume your spouse is Inland now?
Hi! Thanks for the answers.
My spouse is in India. She has no valid status in canada. She gave biometric and medical when we applied for her work permit in march 2020 and it was rejected for lack of marriage proof reason. Then we applied for PR in June and now waiting for it. I gave bio in Nov for PR.

Hey guys,
My eligibility is still in Review after upwards of 7 months. Any idea what could be the reason? It’s not recommended pass either
AOR : June 12
If you are talking about Eligibility status on your MyCIC portal - then it will remain "We are reviewing eligibility..." until your application is approved. However, if you came to know through a call with IRCC agent or through webforms that your Eligibility has been marked as "Review Required" then only way to know the Eligibility status and exact reason behind the longer review timeline is through GCMS notes.

Have you received a refund at least?
That sounds very promising. I am on the same boat. My AOR is June 5th, no updates since October for my exempt biometric updates. Hope they start working on my application. I am dying to have some GU.

I have the same issue, The Agent mentioned that my wife Biometric needs assessment. Even though, it is showing Biometrics completed on the portal. I am wondering which office is dealing with biometrics and why it takes so long for that process.

Got my application approved 2 days ago (literally right after 7 months of processing).
Only CoPR number is updated on the profile, no email notification, and documents awaited.

Here's my timeline:
  • CEC Inland
  • AOR: June 18
  • Medical passed: August 4
  • Bio given: Nov 30
  • Called agent and was told that everything passed on Dec 4
  • Approved: Jan 18
  • VO Ottawa
Hoping you all will get updates soon!

Does anyone here know if the landing should be done during the pandemic? I'm an inland CEC applicant.

Thank you
If you're an inland CEC, you don't need to do the landing/flagpole. It's going to be done "virtually". You either get a call, respond to an email or register on a portal (IRCC choice, not your), and your PR card will be sent to you.
